Emma is a professional photographer/videographer who travels worldwide photographing the yachting industry. Utilising her passion for sailing and love of the ocean and combining it with her eye for photographic beauty and experience gained whilst studying BA Photography at Falmouth University. Phil Starkey Photography - 'Emma is an up-and-coming yacht/marine photographer. At present she is studying for a BA in Photography at Falmouth University and in the last twelve months has rapidly been adding to her portfolio by working for, and racing with, Super Yachts such as Adix, Windrose of Amsterdam, Eleonora and Kelpie of Falmouth. I've been friends with Emma for around eighteen months after our paths crossed aboard the Zaca A Te Moana. She's great fun, easy going, but with a very professional approach to her work which is stunning. Not only does she manage to convey the excitement of the racing within her images, but she also has a very talented eye for capturing the beauty of these magnificent vessels. She's certainly one to watch in the future.'

Unsurprisingly when the pandemic unfolded, my opportunities to work as a Yacht Photographer drastically changed. Online over the past few years I've been particularly quiet on my original platforms as a result but that has by no means been a reflection on what has been happening behind the scenes.

Despite the difficulties that were faced, I was able to quickly diversify and have predominantly been working in the Museums & Heritage sector since. I've had the good fortune to have worked on some fantastic projects, providing video footage for the 'History Channel', having photographs published by 'Dorling Kindersley Books' and setting up a successful Youtube Chanel in partnership with 'Ancient Craft'.

Several years have now passed whereby 'ELWJ Photography' has remained without a solid identity so it seemed fitting to rebrand to help encompass the range of services I now offer, including photography, videography and web design.

After 312 days at sea, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston arrived into Falmouth, welcomed with a Steak dinner at the historic Chain Locker.

Today he returned and reminisced over the same dinner... 'I chose steak - something to chew on after eating canned baked beans a lot!'

On Thursday it will be 50 years to the day since Sir Robin Knox-Johnston set sail from Falmouth to become the first person to circumnavigate the globe, non-stop and alone!
Now the Golden Globe Race has returned with 18 sailors ready to follow in Sir Robin's footsteps!
