A first visit to Netley Abbey. Standing close to Southampton Water, it is the most complete surviving abbey built by the Cistercian monks in southern England. Almost all the walls of its 13th century church still stand, together with many monastic buildings.
How lovely to wander around with the dog and it's free of charge (English Heritage).

Got to see this amazing parade in Glastonbury town on the 15th November. It's widely regarded as the largest illuminated procession (some 50 carts with great music 🎶) in the UK and Europe, and it's held right in the heart of Somerset for 8 nights.
Joint overall winners, Ramblers Carnival Club won the feature class for their float "1912 All Out" and Huckyduck Carnival Club won the tableau category for their float "Scarecrow Partea".

Stunning architecture and what a brilliant way to get a feel for the acoustics by wandering around the cathedral during an organ prom. 1300 people giving a rapturous applause to the two organists, they were brilliant.
