We were surrounded by whales - mainly humpbacks - during our voyage to the Antarctic circle. They were showing some amazing behaviours including lunge feeding, sometimes not too far from the zodiacs. You never know where they’ll surface so it’s very hard to photograph but amazing when you catch one!

This little one absolutely stole the show in Chile. During a break from tracking pumas, we found it digging by the side of the road. We hopped out of the vehicle and thought he would run straight into the burrow, which he did, but then came back out and over to each of us to check us out. We affectionately named him (or her!) “Jimmy” 😆
