Newborns in the sunflowers 🌻

Can you get any cuter?

These two were sooo calm. You could tell they were still in that newborn bubble, and doing something like this was probably a huge thing for them, but also something they’ll never forget or regret doing.

Half an hour was just enough. No posing, no weird positions, just holding their baby gently, soaking it all in and being amongst nature.

Such a lovely way to capture those very early days 🤍

I’ve recently reached 2k followers, so I thought it was probably time to introduce myself, especially as it’s been nearly three years since my last one 🫣

I photographed my first solo wedding in 2022 for a friend, for very little money (which they offered, I promise 😂). I got home, put the photos on my editing screen and thought… yep, I want to do more of this.

After having a baby and taking a little break, weddings now make up around half of my photography business, and 2026 has been the year I’ve properly fallen in love with photographing them.

So, here’s a little bit about me and what I’m like to have around on your wedding day…

I’m not particularly introverted, but I’m definitely not the loud, bossy photographer either. I’ve been described as “stealthy”, “ninja-like” and somehow everywhere at once.

And you don’t achieve that by gassing to Auntie Margaret for an hour.

I’m always watching, noticing the little things: a glance across the room, someone trying not to cry, your nan on the dance floor or the chaos unfolding in the background. Those are the moments I love photographing most.

My style is documentary-led, with a touch of editorial. I love creating those gorgeous, magazine-worthy images alongside the real, unscripted moments.

I’ll guide you when needed, leave you alone when you don’t, and quietly work out what you’re comfortable with without making a big thing of it.

On the day, I’m your photographer, but I’ll also happily be your friend, consultant, dress fixer, calming influence and biggest cheerleader.

Most importantly, I don’t want your wedding day to feel like one long photoshoot.

Whether you’ve planned every detail or are seeing where the day takes you, I’ll capture it as it really happens: the beautiful bits, the emotional bits, the chaos and everything in between.

I still have some space in my 2027/28 diary and can’t wait to see where next year takes me.

Who needs shoes anyway? This is exactly what Zara decided, and once she realised why she was there and who I was, she had her own agenda! 😂

But the best photos were the ones where I caught them all just being completely natural.

If you’re new to family photography and you’re not really sure what to expect, what’s involved or how it all works, my deluxe package is a great option.

From the moment you book, I’ll guide you through everything from what to wear to choosing a location that works for your family.

We’ll chat beforehand so I can get to know you a little, talk through any concerns and, most importantly, what you want to get from the shoot.

You’ll also receive all of the images from your session, which is a big bonus as I’m told all the time how hard it is to choose just a few!

This was this family’s first ever shoot and they did so well. We had the weather on our side, the colours were perfect and plenty of big smiles. 🌸

Sunflowers 🌻

The heat really threw me off this year, and the sunflowers arrived much earlier than planned!

The crops have really struggled with the weather this summer. It’s all part of working with nature, I guess, but it definitely keeps me on my toes trying to juggle last-minute changes and move sessions around.

Thankfully, this gorgeous family came with the best attitude and the biggest smiles.

Some clients you bond with before you’ve even met them. Maybe even a years before!

The beauty of this app, and something I think we sometimes forget, is that it connects you with people who have similar interests, tastes and experiences.

I don’t use this purely for business, even though it may seem like I do.

Orsi and I started talking when I’d just had my second child and she’d had her fourth. They both had the same problem, a cow’s milk protein allergy, and many late night messages were exchanged about dairy alternatives and the challenges we were both facing.

So when she reached out to book a lavender shoot with me, I was genuinely so excited to finally meet her.

I can’t imagine how hard it was to get four children looking this good, out of the door and into the field on time, but she did it… straight from work! And can we just appreciate how amazing she looks too?

I’m in total admiration of women who somehow manage to do all of this and make it look effortless.

I could photograph this family every day. They were an absolute dream. 💜

When you send a gallery and don’t get a response, your mind goes into overdrive.

I think I can speak for almost all photographers here when I say that not hearing a peep from a couple after delivering their gallery sends you through all the stages of grief.

Did they hate them?
Have they even opened them?
Should I change careers?

I gave them a little nudge…

“Hey, how are you? Did you receive the photos okay?”

Silence. ☠️

Then, this morning, a phone call… with a baby gurgling in the background ❤️

“Kim, he arrived early! We need to sort out the newborn shoot.”

OH. 😂

My biggest cheerleader ❤️

Three years ago, I met a lady called Roxanne at a wedding I was photographing. She was dressing the venue with her props and I ADORED her style.

A couple of months later, she booked a shoot with me and I met little Olive. She was shy, she took a lot of coaxing, and a mini shoot just wasn’t enough for her. She finally came out of her shell about five minutes before the end 😆

Now, she LOVES the camera. No stranger to a photoshoot, she gets cheekier and cheekier as we go, and the absolute gold always comes at the end.

This time, Rox decided to bring the dogs, who are both in their later years of life.

“Am I mad?” she said.

“You won’t regret it,” I said.

And she definitely won’t ❤️

Rox has continued to support me ever since we first met, helping me design Christmas setups, making behind the scenes content (because I’m SO bad at this 😂), and booking me for at least two shoots a year. It honestly means the most.

I’m getting to watch Olive grow, and I feel like our relationship as client, photographer and friend has just solidified over time.

After every shoot, I say, “This is my favourite.” And every time, I can’t wait to see what we create at the next one.

But this one ☝🏻 The outfits, the hats, the dogs, the whole vibe… INSANE.

Lavender 💜

It was my first year running mini sessions here, so I really didn’t know what to expect.

As with anything new, the doubts crept in… Was the plot too big? Would someone get stung by a bee? Would the light be too harsh?

It turned out to be perfect.

Every single family who came was a joy to photograph.

I’m starting with this little one because the littlest completely stole my heart… and if you weren’t broody before, you just might be now. 😂

Keep scrolling for some dreamy golden hour wildflower picking at the end… 🌞

Siblings and cousins are friends for life…. They’ll keep these photos and look back on them for years to come 🥹
