A new access road at Dunfermline Recycling Centre, Lochhead will open on Monday 6 July, helping to improve traffic flow.

The new layout separates public and operational vehicles, reducing delays and improving the overall experience on site.

Starting next week, improvement works will also take place on the existing entrance road. Temporary traffic lights will be in place and visitors will be directed to the new access road via signed diversion routes.

Fife Council: Carriageway Resurfacing Commitment

Fife Council is committed to maintaining a safe, reliable, and high‑quality road network across the region. Recognising that worn, cracked, and stained surfaces can impact road safety, comfort, and longevity, we have prioritised targeted carriageway resurfacing and renewal works throughout Fife.

Our approach focuses on identifying roads in greatest need, addressing surface deterioration, and ensuring repairs meet strict safety and durability standards.
