Once apon a time...
Two girls from two different walks of life... one a super organised 'brunette' country girl in wellies, the other a chilled out 'blonde' city chick in heels stumbled into an unusual friendship as their paths kept crossing due to a series of unlikely events. Over the years as they photographed everything from bumps to babies, Weddings to Christenings and even the occasional High

land Coo, they soon discovered their differences are what made them unique. As their friendship grew so did their desire to produce a brand that they could be proud of. A brand that has a unique style, leading to the birth of "Ivy Road Photography"...

Re-Invention

The girls at Re-Invention were our old neighbour before a couple of shop changes and now fully settled at the opposite end of the high street.
Sisters Diane and Linda lead a team of 8 from their East High Street Salon. Fellow stylists Kay, Jenna and Angie along with Beautician Lisa.
They also have Judy who offers holistic therapies and Eilish who is a spiritualist.
Diane and Linda have worked together for 16 years and between them all there is a LOT of experience and knowledge in the hair and beauty industry.

Forfar Music Group

"The Music Rooms" run by the charity "Forfar Music Group" has just recently opened.
This amazing space is so versatile. It offerers the opportunity to anyone who has an interest in music or looking to try a new instrument.
This is solely a volunteer led group and they are looking to develop community music making.
They are building up an instrument lending library which is a fab opportunity to try something new.
The front space of the shop can be hired out as a pop up shop, and the fully soundproofed space at the back is the perfect rehearsal space.
You can book your rehearsal space through their website or pop in past and speak to one of their volunteers.

Forfar Resource Store has been a self supporting charity for the homeless & low income families in Forfar and the surrounding areas for the past 20 years.
They sell top quality 2nd hand furniture and homeware.
They offer a free collection service for any donations but charge a small fee on any deliveries.
Last year they saved 135 tonne of goods going to landfill!
Their showroom at Don Street is open for anyone looking for a bargain!!

Tannadice Trophies have been on our high street for over 35 years, Chris is the 3rd owner to run this successful business.
He specialises in engraving, trophies, medals, shields and so much more.
Chris can also be found in and around all the agricultural shows, as he offers an onsite engraving service too.

Robbie & Nicoll Florists has been a name on the streets of Forfar for 150years and in 2003 Kay took over the well known business and has successfully kept that name alive and thriving. With 40yrs experience, she knows her stuff!!
Kay very recently moved to bigger premise, leaving her Castle Street shop behind and moving into a much bigger space at East High Street.
In the shop She is supported by Helen and also her Daughter Ellie and not forgetting her Grandson Freddie.....you never know, one day he might be the keeper of the name "Robbie & Nicoll"
Flowers for all occasions but they specialise in weddings and funeral tributes.
They also have a wide range of artificial flowers too.

Forfar Bathrooms is a family run business and has been on our high street for 14years now.
It is run by Neil and Teresa along with their son Christopher.
What looks like a "Little" showroom from the outside, actually has over 20 fully fitted displays on show over 2 levels, so there will be something for all tastes.
They have a team of fitters and also offer a 5yr warranty on all installation work.
