Yesterday I attended the launch 🚀 of FEDWED and enjoyed every second of it.

I just want to be honest wearing my heart on my sleeve for a minute:

Over the years I’ve found my self hiding away in the kitchen at house parties. I’m an introvert and shy away from crowds and group settings.

Like on a wedding day I pull up my socks and put my extrovert hat on and crack on. You’d never think I was an introvert if you met me during a wedding day.

Leading up to arriving at yesterdays FEDWED event I was fighting my inner daemons “you can’t do this”, “your going to make a fool of your self” “your going to stutter when you introduce yourself to complete strangers”!

My buddy Wes drove me into Liverpool and I walked into the event with him. He had no idea how grateful I was knowing he was with me. In a way I was drawing strength from him.

When I walked in I was greeted with a huge hug and a hello from Ste and Adam the organises of the event. This made me feel instantly at ease.

Then I seen my friends Kieren, Matty, Paul and Dave and thought YES I’m ok here I can do this.

Before I knew it I was chatting away with complete strangers.

I was so surprised to find out that there were so many other wedding photographers and film makers in the room that had the same feelings as me.

Just goes to show that your not on your own and if you have similar fears thinking about all those faces at your wedding, just remember everyone that’s present is there because they bloody love you loads.

Now you know why my passion is to work with couples that love and value the importance of photographs but hate to pose for them. Couples that find themselves hiding away at house parties. Couples that have the best time with other introverts.

I get you, I understand your pain points. This why we get along so well and you are able to be yourself around me.

Thank you FEDWED for making me face my fears which led to forging new connections with other wedding photographers and film makers in the industry that I LOVE ❤️

Get involved, be bold, be you!

If you’re anything like me sometimes you feel a little bit silly just letting go and being yourself in public.

I always tell my kids the best things in life come after the fear point.

It’s your wedding day! Everyone there bloody loves ya loads. If you can’t kick back and truly be yourself on your wedding day then when can you?

If you want to dance like nobody’s watching then bloody do it!

Some us are filled with the confidence to shout “THIS IS ME” and some of us aren’t and that’s ok. To be honest I want to work with the people that aren’t! This is my kinda people 🙌

I’m a down-to-earth wedding photographer that’s got this crazy ability that puts you at ease from the get go!
