Bringing in the New Year, we celebrated the burning of the Clavie last night (10th Jan). As someone born and raised in Burghead it is what I recognize as my official New Year.

Last night was one of the best Clavies, that I have ever experienced thus far in my life, the Burning of the Clavie creates the platform, for the procession around the streets of Burghead but it's the people and community of the Broch that gives it the connection and meaning that I have always come to revere.

2025 is almost at an end and what a year it has been with so much that has happened and with new projects and changes, personally and professionally going into 2026.

I look forward to the start of the new year as I know it's going to be a real challenge but it's one I will gladly face with a better approach to self development and learning that will put me in a good place over the next 12 months with the development of adding videography as part of the services hear at Perspective Photography.

Not only do I work as a photographer and videography, I also work for a very good company called Veolia. Each year we do a volunteer day and this year we helped my local community of Burghead with the rejuvenation of the Community Garden.

I was asked by the team to record the amazing effort that was made by the team at Roseisle. Well done to everyone involved.

Last Saturday Perspective Photography was at the 2025 Ness Factor fund raiser for The Highland Hospice that raised £85,000 🥳.

This is something I very much look forward to and have done for 6 years now. Being part of such a great night and to capture one of the best nights of entertainment that has so much meaning to everyone there.

Thank you to everyone for a great night and I look forward to next year 😀

Another year and another Ness Factor, an-amazing fundraising event in aid of the Highland Hospice. This is the 6th year Perspective Photography has had the privilege of capturing this fun and entertaining evening at the Drumossie Hotel. This year was the best yet, every singer was so good and it would have been a very difficult decision for the judges to pick a winner. This year they managed to raised £85,000.

Congratulations to everyone for taking part, it was a very enjoyable evening 😀

It is so rewarding to work with other businesses, I find it so interesting and rewarding. Every business is different and that comes down to the those who run it. Working with those who are looking to get the best from there pictures and to be able to give them what they are looking for to be used as there marketing strategy's, web content, social media and presentations is so motivating.
