Our latest acquisition is this Advanced Digital Convertor. I have been after one of these units for a number of years. It purpose is a Time Base Corrector which enables capture of your valuable analogue tapes to digital files in the best quality possible. I will be using this mainly with my Betamax machines with no TBC. My three S-VHS machines have TBC bulit in.

Nice selection of VHS C tapes to be converted. Content was mostly from the 90s and these tapes from TDK, Panasonic and JVC have maintained their quality, not bad for tapes that are 30 years+ old. Using the VHS C cassette adapter I am able to capture these tapes on my top of the range Panasonic AG7750 SVHS editing deck. Today's conversions are one of my favourite tapes. The TDK XP Pro SVHS. In it's day this tape when paired with the Panasonic AG7750 SVHS VCR gave broadcast quality recordings. Conversion dates available from the 21st April.

If you have video tapes that look like the one below it means that the tape is contaminated with mould and should be converted to digital as soon as posible before the tape deteriorates any further. The mould usually occurs to tapes that are stored for many years in the loft/attic, this happens due to the changes in temperature and humidity between winter/summer. In most cases the tape can cleaned and recovered however, it's not always the case and that precious footage can be lost forever!
