I've been looking through my Borneo photos again and this time it was all about proboscis monkeys.

This is a younger member of the family, they are such wonderful and characterful species and often overlooked in favour of other species.

Staying in South Africa for today's image of a mum and calf elephant.

I'm slowly working my way through the hard drives pulling out potential images for future work and this one caught my eye as mum is guiding her baby away from the watering hole.

This morning, whilst watering my raspberry canes, I accidently gave this Goldenrod Crab Spider or flower crab spider (Misumena vatia) a shower.

I didn't actually see her at first and only noticed her once I'd watered.

Isn't she just gorgeous, and these spidera are able to change colour to a degree too to aid thier camouflage.

A couple of weeks ago I really needed a day off from Global Birdfair prep and get out into nature.

Huge thank you to Mike Bath Nature - Mike Williams for sharing from a new location (for me) just up the road in Wiltshire.

I had a wonderful few hours out looking for orchids and invertebrates, the highlight had to be this absolutely stunning common spotted x frog orchid, one of the most beautiful orchids I've seen.

A perfect and much needed few hours out.
