When I’m not at markets, out with the camera, packing online orders or framing prints, you’ll usually find me here at the allotment.

It takes hours of digging, planting, watering, weeding and generally trying to stay one step ahead of the slugs, pigeons and weeds, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This year I’ve managed to fill the plot almost to bursting with all my favourites – potatoes, onions, beetroot, peas, sweetcorn, tomatoes, strawberries, blackcurrants and plenty more.

There’s something incredibly satisfying about watching everything grow from tiny seeds into a harvest you can actually enjoy.

Photography will always be my main passion, but the allotment is where I go to switch off, slow down and recharge.

What do you do to unwind?

P.s thank you Val from Something for Everyone for my sign. It looks great on my shed door! 🐽

This image of Bamburgh Castle is always one of my most popular photographs. No matter the size, it seems to be a favourite with so many of you.

Taken on a beautifully still evening, the empty beach stretching out beneath the castle gave the scene a real sense of space and calm. Moments like this are rare at such an iconic location, and it’s one of the reasons this photograph remains so special to me.

This week, a lovely customer will be taking delivery of my biggest panoramic print yet – a huge 40” x 20” print.

It’s easy to see why people love Bamburgh. The village has been voted the UK’s best seaside destination by Which? for five consecutive years, earning top marks for its beach, scenery, seafront and peace and quiet.

Have you visited here? Maybe it was your wedding venue, the location of a works Christmas party, a special celebration, or simply somewhere you’ve stayed over the years.

I’d love to hear your memories of this place in the comments.

📍 Bonus points if you can name it before looking at the comments!

Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle

Tucked away in one of Newcastle’s hidden alleys, the iconic Tyneside Cinema has been part of the city’s story since 1937, making it one of the UK’s last surviving purpose-built newsreel cinemas.

Newcastle is full of grand landmarks, but sometimes it’s the quieter corners that tell the most interesting stories.

Have you ever visited the Tyneside Cinema?

What was the last film you saw there, or do you have a favourite memory of this Newcastle institution?
