We had an amazing day yesterday in Sunderland for the celebrations of BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend. We were in Keel Square along with many community groups and creatives and celebrating arts and culture. Thank you Sunderland, UK for asking us to be part of the celebrations.

We’re heading back to The Late Shows 2026 this Saturday 9th May with our Moon Booth as part of Grainger Unplugged at Grainger Market 🌙✨

You’ll find us in Alley 1 next to the opticians from 6pm – 10.30pm (last entry 10pm) offering FREE Moon Booth photos. Climb onto the giant crescent moon, grab a prop and strike your most dramatic pose for a gloriously theatrical keepsake photo.

This one feels a little special for us. Our very first Late Shows appearance was back in May 2012 at Mushroom Works Poor Amanda had to run the whole Moon Booth solo while Kit was off playing a gig somewhere else in Ouseburn. It was chaos, brilliant, exhausting… and the start of many adventures. So it feels lovely to be bringing the Moon Booth back to Late Shows all these years later.

The whole market will be buzzing with live music, street food, creative workshops, vintage vibes and late-night energy. Expect acoustic sets, mini painting workshops, stop motion animation, printmaking, storytelling and loads more happening throughout the evening.

Come and say hello, have your photo taken and soak up the atmosphere 🌙

We’re bringing something a little bit magical to Late Shows at Grainger Market ✨🌙

As part of Grainger Unplugged, we’ll be there with our Moon Booth — a playful, vintage-inspired photo moment tucked inside the market after hours.

Climb onto a giant crescent moon, choose a prop, and take a beautifully theatrical keepsake photo. It’s a chance to pause, play, and capture something a little bit special in the middle of a lively night.

The market will be full of music, food, artists and late-night energy — so you can wander, explore and then step into the Moon Booth for your moment.
