What an event this was and was privileged to take some pictures at.
Ewan McVicar and STREETrave put on a show and its great when they use the pictures I took.
I think I caught a moment with this one.
THE HOMECOMING 💌
al try ma best to explain what am feeling in this moment the now. its been 4 days since Pavilion Festival & im still struggling to comprehend whats just happened. maybe ill feel like this for a while, maybe al never be able to figure out what we done on saturday. who knows but also who cares because a 10 year dream just became a reality 😭
i lived in ayr for 25 years, a wee 50,000 population seaside toon on the west coast of scotland. as a was growing up there wasnt much to do for youngsters & especially youngsters that were into dance music. since STREETrave cemented their legacy in ayr they left a massive hole when the pavilion venue became no more. the void was evident & its something that ive always wanted to do & never in my wildest dreams did i think we’d get anywhere near the magnitude of what Sr did. or did i think i’d be organising a festival with my heroes, but we did & we smashed it 😭😭😭
saturday surpassed everything beyond my wildest dreams, we just done that in AYR hahahahahhaahha!!!!!?? WHIT??!!!!
a kinda wish a hadnt been at the festival all day cause by the time a came on a was absolutely emotionally spanked. legacy. community. dance music history. a whole town coming together to have a good time. whatever you want to call it, it is a festival with a cause to give back to people that truly want to just have fun, that have longed for something worth substance and national respect to happen in ayr & just simply celebrate being scottish. we are the most special nation.
i have to specifically thank every single person that attended on saturday because you were absolutely amazing. dont be a dafty & yous were anything but. a fu**in love every single last one of you that made this such a success. energy. emotion. caring for each other. a dunno what ad do without yis.
thanks to everyone that worked on this festival, the bar staff, the council, the police, the djs, the sound techs, all of you played a part & made ma dream come true. but especially ricky & julie, am forever in your debt🫂
a guess it’s time to level up the low green again for the next 5 years
