Sometimes choosing yourself feels selfish.
It isn’t.
It’s self-respect.

24/02/2026

There’s a moment when choosing yourself stops feeling selfish
and starts feeling honest.

Not dramatic.
Not loud.
Just quieter permission to live your own life.

This work meets women in that moment.

Some beginnings don’t look like change.
They look like staying.

The space is still here.
No rush.

This work doesn’t begin with confidence.
It begins with permission to arrive in your body.

Not to perform it.
Not to fix it.
Not to become someone else.

Just to inhabit yourself a little more honestly
than you were taught to.

For some women, that looks quiet.
For some, it looks alive.
For some, it arrives slowly.

All of those ways belong here.

If this feels like a chapter you’re stepping into,
The space is still open.
No rush.

Details in bio, when the timing feels right.❤️

Some things shift in a session like this.

How do you see yourself?
How much space do you let yourself take?
How gently you treat your own presence.

But what stays isn’t the outfit,
or the pose,
or even the photograph itself.

What stays is the moment you recognised yourself in it.

This is what stays with you.

Gentle details in the comments.
Link in bio if you’re curious.

Some gifts don’t arrive wrapped.
They arrive as a moment where someone finally feels at home in themselves.

This is a gentle reminder.
Not to rush.
Not to perform Valentine’s.

Just to choose something that stays beyond the day itself.

Whether this is a gift you’re given
or something you choose for yourself,
this work isn’t about looking a certain way.

It’s about being met, as you are,
and letting that be enough.

It’s about being met, as you are,
and letting that be enough.

There are a few spaces left for this Valentine’s window.
After that, the door closes quietly.

No pressure.
Just an open door, if this feels right.

There are a few spaces left for this Valentine’s offering.
After that, the doors close quietly.

No pressure.
Just an open door, if this feels right.

The details are there when and if this feels meaningful.

Not flowers.
Not jewellery.

An experience that honours who she is, right now.
Not who she’s expected to be.

Some gifts fade quietly.
Some become part of how we see ourselves.

This portrait experience isn’t about creating a moment for social media.
It’s about creating something meaningful to live with.
Something that stays long after the day itself has passed.

For some, this is a gift they’re given.
For others, it’s a gift they choose for themselves.

Both are valid.
Both can be deeply personal

Sometimes what changes you doesn’t happen in front of the camera.
It happens quietly, inside.

Magda said to me:
“The transformation happened not just in front of the lens, but primarily in my own head.”

She came to her session at a moment of change in her life.
Not to become someone new.
But to meet herself again, without the roles she had been carrying.

This is what I love most about this work.
Not the photographs on their own.
But what people begin to see in themselves through the process.

And when the session is over,
the image becomes something you live with.
Something that stays with you.

Not as a reminder of how you looked.
But of how you felt in that moment of being seen.

I always find it interesting how different each session feels. Some moments are quiet. Some are full of laughter. Some land somewhere in between.

What stays the same for me is the noticing. How someone settles into the space. How their expression shifts once the nerves soften a little. How a sense of self starts to come forward when there’s no pressure to perform.

There’s something special about making photographs that are meant to be held, not just scrolled. Sometimes that becomes a photograph on the wall. Sometimes an album that gets opened and lived with. Sometimes it’s simply a different way of seeing yourself for a while.

If this kind of experience speaks to you personally, I’ve added a link in the comments to the Unapologetically You sessions.
And if you’re here because you’re thinking about a meaningful gift for someone you care about, there’s also a gifting link there.

No rush. Just there if and when it feels right.
