Hey all! Looking to borrow a chop saw for a few weeks to put a whole bunch of desks together at House of Toad CIC (my new social enterprise!)

Anyone have one they can loan us? It will only be used by my skilled partner in crime Ben Whitney so in very good hands… thanks. X

We are roller skating outside, Glasgow! Pray for no rain... Two amazing skaters I know from RollerStop will be teaching a roller dance routine, then from 3pm there will be a DISCO... All welcome, however you need your own skates.

Head to Clyde Cycle Park's Eventbrite to buy tickets for both workshops and the roller disco. Disco finishes at 5pm, after which you can head on over to Rollerstop for their Tuesday night skate. x

Reflection, refraction and lighting assignment from All created in with their standard renderer. Who knew you would need so many lights, soft boxes AND and HDRI to get those tiny, specular highlights in the bump of the orange. As the only Scot on the course I was pretty proud of my Irn Bru can, I gotta say. Can’t wait to get animating. And to use !

Having tonnes of fun now with The .art course is intense but so different to studying at art school where they had very strict limitations.

Learning C4D is very intense but so much fun! I’m moving over from Maya and 3DS Max (neither of which I’ve used for maybe over ten years!) There’s a lot of overlap, which is good. Learning to use the shortcuts with my Wacom tablet slowly but surely which is helping loads. But my Mac, which is so fast for rendering videos and anything in After Effects, is having lots of little freak-outs with C4D…First it just broke down in tears when I tried to use a rope simulation, and more regularly, it’s displaying neon green squares over the menus. Eeek! I’ll keep going and see what happens but there may need to be a move to PC or perhaps I should pull out the old Mac Pro tower….!
