I love my early morning walks on the canal. This year has been particularly good for kingfishers. I have been seeing them almost daily although not always getting photos but this week was a highlight. They really are such beautiful little birds ❤️

An outing for me earlier this week to watch some black grouse at a lek in Perthshire. The weather was very wet at 5.30am but did improve by 7am, although still overcast and cold! It was lovely to see some grey partridge and hares too. It was great to get the opportunity to do this event organised by The Heather Trust at Abercairny Estate. There was a breakfast after and a talk about the land management and environment which was really interesting. Then it was back to the studio by lunchtime! 😊
