I have a lot of love for each drawing & it was so difficult trying to get it down to one design for our Motherhood Print.
( Maybe I’ll revisit them in the future but for now I hope you enjoy them.)

In the meantime, new designs are in the works, sketches are being made & designs are slowly but surely coming together.

How many times in your parenthood journey have you held your kids?
Pacing the floor with a newborn, grazed knees, bumped heads, tantrums, meltdowns in a car park and the ‘just because’ moments.
As parents we turn up everyday for our kids and often forget our own needs.
I really wanted to capture this moment in this illustration & give a gentle reminder to the mums & dads that you are held too.

Welcome to all our new followers who have joined us recently. It’s been a while since I’ve done an introduction so here it goes:

…and welcome to Faith in Wilderness [est. November 2019]
Here you’ll find rugged and wild designs based more often than not on our outdoor wanderings around Scotland. Faith in Wilderness was originally set up to share some of my creative endeavours as we juggled life with our young family. Four years on, I have now established an Etsy shop & love working alongside other small businesses to create products for you guys.

My name is Shona & home is currently Glasgow with my really tall husband, Josh, and our 2 young children who are 5 years old & 2 years old. A family favourite is a trip to the beach & only just this year I’ve taken up wild swimming 🌊

A lot of my products have an air of simplicity & I am currently working towards designs that have a more raw & earthy feel in style & materials used.
In my shop you’ll find, handmade paper prints, stationery & wax seals.
I am very excited to be expanding the collection with more letterpress designs & getting out ink & nib to scratch out some more drawings.

Happy Lunar New Year 🏮 🎇 🐉
to all my friends celebrating today

A commissioned design featuring the Chinese character for blessing in the centre.

I’ll admit that I was a little bit out of my comfort zone at first when starting this design as I couldn’t use my usual colour palette.
But it ended up being one of the most joyous processes as I learnt more about the celebration & experienced the design perspective of a different culture.

The latest digital illustration for what is quite often a daunting image based book.

There was so much imagery to choose from but the focus was to be Christ. I focused on one of the draft subheadings for the sermon series :
“The completed victory in Christ”
It is both past, present & what is to come.
Christ is both fully the mighty victor in the Lion of Judah of the Old Testament because He is fully the Sacrificed Lamb who is the only one able to open the sealed scroll.

There’s so much more that I could add to this design. I’ll probably end up revisiting this one again.

A commission for
This illustration was made as a cover for the Ezekiel sermon series.
It is based on the latter half of the book depicting the valley of dry bones merging into the ‘New Eden’ from the Dead Sea Valley.
Using it was created using a mix of ink & nib and watercolour aesthetics.
