Nobody tells you how full your heart gets in those first few days at home. 🤍

The sleepy feeds, the way he fits perfectly in your arms, the way you and your partner keep looking at each other like - did we really make this person? And just like that you hear was stolen by this tiny little human 🤍

That's what I want to capture. Not strictly posed people, just your family, in your own space, in the most beautiful chaos of the very beginning.

Here's something I wish every new parent knew before it was too late. 🤎

The newborn stage - the tiny curled-up, sleeps-through-everything, fits-in-one-arm stage lasts about 14 days. After that, they change so fast you barely notice until you look back.

Booking a session while you're still pregnant means I can hold a flexible date for you, work around your actual birth date, and be ready the moment you're home and settled.

‼️Choosing a newborn photographer? Please read this first ‼️

As a newborn photographer myself, I can't stress enough how important all this information is!

Here are a few things I always do during every single newborn session, and things you should look for when booking anyone:

✅ Always support the head. A newborn's head and neck need full support at all times - no exceptions.
✅ Baby is never left alone. Your baby is never left unattended on a prop, beanbag or in a basket - not even for a second. And a parent is always close by throughout the entire session.
✅ Work with the baby, not against them. I never force a pose. If there are any signs of discomfort, we stop immediately and resettle. Your baby's comfort always comes first.
✅ Sleepy and settled always comes first. If a baby is unsettled, we stop, we cuddle, we feed - whatever they need. The photos can wait. Your baby cannot be rushed.

🌡 Studio temperature matters more than you think. Newborns can't regulate their body temperature the way we can - they feel the cold much faster and much more intensely than adults do. My studio is always kept at 26-28°C before your baby arrives, because a warm baby is a settled baby. Always ask your photographer about this before booking!

📸 Those adorable "froggy" poses aren't what they seem. Some of the most popular newborn poses — like the froggy pose where baby appears to rest their chin on their hands — are actually composite images. That means they're two separate photos carefully merged together in editing. They are never done in a single shot. If a photographer tells you otherwise, that's a red flag. 🚩

A beautiful photo is never worth compromising your baby's comfort or safety. 🤍

When baby Maksymilian's mum came to me for her maternity shoot, we kept things beautifully simple - clean lines, soft tones, nothing to distract from that incredible anticipation of new life. 🍼
So when it came time for the newborn session, I knew I wanted those images to feel like the next chapter of the same story.
We stripped everything right back.
No props, no fuss - just soft whites, gentle textures, and all those impossibly tiny details that disappear far too quickly. The same quiet elegance, the same calm. Just with a very new, very perfect little person at the centre of it all.

Newborn shoots should be done between 5-10 days after birth for similar effects, make sure you book in for yours! 😌

What is love to you? 🥰
Except for the very important and obvious? We all know that safety, communication, trust, loyalty and respect, shared values, empathy are the foundations - but love shows even through the small things. In the way you look at them when they tell a story. In the way they feel like home, where words don't need to fill the silence. In the way they tell you the dumbest joke and you still laugh. In the way you can be completely silly together, unbothered by what anyone else thinks. In the way you give each other nicknames - the ones that only make sense to the two of you. In the playful bickering, the teasing, the wrestling, the mock arguments that never really mean anything - because even that is its own little language of love. Isn't it? 🥰
And hey! Don't worry if you haven't found your bestie yet! They're on they way, trust me 🤓

I wish my studio was big enough to build 10 different set ups! 😁Safe to say this part of my job gives me a lot of joy, it's all about little details. As soon as I'm done with shooting each year, there are 7 new ideas popping up in my head.

This little angel steals my heart every single year! Always happy to pose and flash me the sweetest smiles 🥰

I know it’s lovely seeing photos of kids laughing and having fun during these shoots, but remember... if they don’t, that’s totally okay too. We’re here to capture who they really are. Sometimes they just don’t feel like smiling at a stranger, and that’s normal. They’re little humans who don’t always understand what’s going on, and that’s perfectly fine. Do you always feel like smiling? I doubt it :D

Some families come back to me every year, and each session brings a different mood. If they’re not smiley this time, maybe next year will be their moment. And let me tell you something… the grumpy photos? They usually become the best memories and something to make jokes about later. 😅✨
