Delighted to learn of 2 fantastic charities I’ve worked with being recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours lists today.

Both the Spiers family and the Gill’s had been dealt a very difficult hand, losing a child to brain cancer, Calum Spiers and Oliver Gill.

Both families used their experiences to inform what kind of help they could offer to other families following in their path, and both have made the tough journey easier for families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis.

The best thing about my job is that it often brings you into contact with the best of people doing things for the most noble of reasons, and I’m absolutely delighted for all at LoveOliver and Calums Cabin for this recognition they have received.

I don’t know why I didn’t post this at the time, but anyway, The Renfrew Mens Shed continues to go from strength to strength.

Always lovely to see the impressive work LoveOliver do for families with a child going through a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
