Happy Halloween! I hope everyone has a good time, whatever you are up to. I don't have any particularly spooky photos so here is my cat (no longer a kitten!) who is scared of loud doors!

Fallen leaves in bushes 🍂
~
These photos leave me reminiscent of photos I would take when I was a teen. I had no concept of photography but what I would do is put my little pink camera amongst something, like a plant or a group of objects, and let my camera's auto focus pick up on something. Almost like a photography pot luck. I always loved how things in the foreground and background would go blurry, creating often quite abstract takes on everyday things. I didn't quite understand depth of field back then, or I did but I didn't know that's what it was!
~
This is a bit of a return to that, except I know what I wanted to focus on so I would use manual focus to lock in on the leaves while letting the leaves of the bushes create almost dream-like effects. I am really proud of how they turned out and I have more to share so I hope this reaches people it appeals to.

Hi everyone.

I previously posted about debating a few things, like either changing the name of the page or just making a new one. I have decided against that but have changed the banner and profile picture, so that is something 😂

This move is more for Instagram than on here but while I have taken a step back from social media in terms of photography, my editing style changed. I used to seek for something "realistic" but there was no fun in that. I like to create something beyond what we can see and play with the colours that the camera picks up. It kind of resembles film but I just enjoy something more airy and faded, while still colourful. "It doesn't look like that in real life!" I don't care. Move on if you don't like my photos, and thank you for looking and following if you do!

I am also hoping this change manifests as a change in my mindset with photography and I get into it again but also enjoy it because I enjoy photography. I have said this all before so I will spare you from it again, but social media can be just perfectionist nonsense at times and I hope me trying to just share what I want to can reach you all and you enjoy my photos.

Anyway, first of the newer photos come up tomorrow. I hope you all enjoy them and those that follow. Thanks again for reading and still following my page while I figured things out.

Hi, it has been a while!

I am now 30! I had a wonderful time celebrating with my loved ones. For a long time, I didn't think I would make it to this point and I didn't want to either, so to be here is an honour and I am so grateful to my family and friends for making it special!

I am considering a name change for the page. Undecided on what. I made the page name when I was wanting to "make something" of this and in hindsight, when my BPD was at its worst. There is more to me than just photography but I attached my name to my work when it felt all or nothing and now, I just want to have fun with it!

I haven't taken any photos but I want to but until then, if I do any editing, I will be sharing older photos.

Thank you for reading! I hope you all have been well! 💕

Hi everyone, I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!

I haven't posted in a while again, and going forward, I am no longer posting or sharing my photos like I used to, and for the foreseeable future, I may not even share at all.

I will try my best to keep this short, but I am not making that promise.

I have a personality disorder, and part of it is identity issues, so there was a part of my life where photography became my personality. Now, it's not. It is still a part of me, but that means other things are factors in making me "me." So it is hard to isolate time specifically for this to meet demands that social media wants you to maintain for algorithms, and I also sometimes just don't care to share. I just don't find social media fun anymore. And it is a good thing when you consider the overall picture.

On the social media note, I am also heavily considering taking a step back from that too which has fuelled my decision to make this post, although I will spare you the details behind that. One part that does help explain this move on the photography sharing aspect is I had FOMO in my 20s. We are a generation who has gone from never knowing about so and so from school to knowing about their every weekend, and I shared to keep up appearances too. I don't feel the need to do that anymore. And again, it's a great sign, I think, because I am moving on from needing validation.

I hope that explains things, and I do apologise that for at least a good while, I won't be sharing my images. I want to thank those who have supported me and provided me with opportunities from this and wish you all the best 💕

Another photo of Little Ronnie 🥰

I've not had much of a chance to do more processing of photos or organise what I have done to share something else. Ronnie has been a bit extra with his behaviour between myself being low over the weekend and his vaccinations too and has needed some TLC. So I hope another little Ronnie photo will do for now!

Here he is with his box and tunnel! He loves both. The box was gifted by my lovely friends when I moved in filled with gifts and Ronnie has taken a shine to it for hiding and sleeping!

I hope you all are having a lovely week so far!

My little kitten, Ronnie ♥

I got him for company, but he has become a little companion, even if he does try to chew my wires and climb absolutely everything. He knows the right time to crawl into my arms for a little hug.

Not at all diving into pet photography. Photos like these are just little snippets of life. Nonetheless, it is fun to try new things when it comes to photography.
