Currently only holding a relevant GCSE, this year I'll be making a big step and beginning a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics.

Studying through The Open University, it's going to be distance learning for the next 6 years but I'm really thankful for the study space I have, I can easily transition between study, photo editing, social media and streaming Netflix.

Starting with a module titled Discovering Mathematics, I'm really looking forward to seeing all that Maths has to offer and the opportunities that arise from this course.

As much as I love coming home to Northern Ireland, travelling is always pain, especially over this past year. One thing I do love about the travel though is frequently passing through Glasgow and being able to capture the city from a different perspective every time.

This is a photo of the Donald Dewer Statue looking down Buchanan Street, a figure I have walked past and seen on many occasions but up until this week I had never photographed.

Surprised at my own ability and the resulting photo, this shot was taken handheld at 1/20th of a second as I had to rush off to catch my bus and didn't have time to utilise my tripod.

Christmas day for me was spent climbing at Ardmair Crag near Ullapool, North Scotland. We started off with an enjoyable Severe route to warm up and then finished off with a very challenging VS 4C on which I had to do my first layback move in the outdoor environment and it involved some excellent hand jamming practise too.

Time to head back home now and spend some time with the family before the New Year.

I had an enjoyable afternoon walking around Hillsborough Park with Siân a few weeks ago, meanwhile I tried my best to capture some photos of Hunter having fun being a messy doggo. I'm looking forward to bright summer days when I can afford to drop the shutter speed those few extra stops lol.

As we are all in this new lockdown together, everyone please remember there will come an end to this, a day soon when you can once again make great memories with your friends and family, so please stay strong and keep your heads up folks.

Here's some of my favourite shots from Sunday's wee visit to the Japanese garden not far from the hotel. Yes, this is the same garden where I had the photoshoot of the three Turkish guys who by the way, one approached me earlier today while I was out shopping and I managed to finally get his photos to him!😁

While having a dander around the park waiting for the rest of the party to show up, these three young Turkish blokes asked if I could take a few photos of them. Of course, with the camera at hand, I agreed.

Due to the language barrier, communication was very difficult and Google Translate had to be used, as I have been doing over the past few days here in Turkey. The first thing he translated for me was 'How to pose' which cracked me up obviously.

Anyway, the photos came out brilliantly and to conclude the 'shoot' I had a photo taken with them too by a kind passer by. I was supposed to send the photos over WhatsApp but the number he gave isn't showing up as a contact so if anyone recognises these guys can you please tag them 😭😂

Buchanan Street is the main street in between Glasgow Queen Street and Central Station and I've always enjoyed a walk down here.

I had six minutes to spare in between my current and onward trains so I had to get the camera out and bash out some shots quick time. Most of that time was waiting for someone cool to walk into my shot but hey, that's all a part of the game.

Does anybody else have a street they will happily visit over and over again?

Any love for a pretty lil Cara Cara? 🦅

These were taken earlier this year after flying over to an isolated island to carry out a quick job, the helicopter broke down and I ended up stranded there for five days rather than the originally planned one night stay.

These birds (I counted several dozen) were cool though, super friendly, ate our leftover meat and followed me around like a puppy anytime I went outside. Amazing!
