This is my oldest boy, Chip. Chip will be 7 on the 14th of March. I can’t believe it, time is whizzing by so fast. I remember the very first day we went to visit Chip as a puppy, he was one of two left in the litter. Both pups were absolutely beautiful with amazing amber eyes and glossy chocolate coloured coats. Chip’s Mum, Nala was a natural Mum and his breeder Jean was so welcoming and friendly we just knew we had found a responsible breeder. This was Nala and Jean’s last litter and it was our good luck that we found Chip.
We couldn’t decide between the two pups, and anyone who has visited puppies will know it’s hard to walk away and leave one behind, but finances and work dictate what’s possible.
So we sat watching the pups play trying to decide what to do. In the end it was actually Chip who decided for us as he was so nosy and was crawling all over us.
Boy oh boy that was the best day ever 🙌🏻 errrr well until we got him in the car to drive off and he didn’t stop crying for a day or so. I felt so bad for taking him away from his Mum.
But I’m his Mum now, my husband always says Chip is my boy, and he is, he’s my soul dog. He jumps up on the soft and sits beside me, stares into my eyes with his back to my husband 🤣
And on that note I’m off to take my boys out for a long sniffing walk. 🐕
