Nature’s perfect design. 🌊0️⃣
There are few places on the Jurassic Coast where geology puts on a better show than Lulworth Cove. Looking down from above, you can see exactly how the relentless power of the sea breached the hard Portland limestone barrier, quickly hollowing out the softer clays behind it to carve this near-perfect horseshoe bay.
The contrast between the chalky white cliffs, the emerald water, and the sweeping curve of the pebble beach is just unmatched. Millions of years of continental collision and wave action, frozen in one breathtaking vista.

The crown jewel of the Jurassic Coast. 🌊🦕
There’s nothing quite like the scale of Durdle Door when you see it cutting into the sea. This massive natural limestone arch is a 140-million-year-old masterpiece, formed when the crashing waves of the Atlantic punched a hole straight through the vertical layers of rock.
Whether it's catching the first morning light or framed against a dramatic sky, the contrast between the towering white chalk cliffs, the emerald water, and this giant stone gateway is completely unmatched.

Where layers of ancient history collide. 🌒🌾
This is Knowlton Church, one of the most atmospheric and enigmatic spots in Dorset. What makes it so unique isn't just the ruined 12th-century Norman church itself, but where it stands—built directly in the middle of a Neolithic ritual henge earthwork that dates back thousands of years.
Seeing the circular banks of the ancient henge wrapping perfectly around the medieval stone ruins creates an incredible visual contrast. It's a powerful reminder of how sacred spaces evolve over centuries, sitting quiet and isolated in the Dorset countryside.

Rising high above the canopy where Somerset, Wiltshire, and Dorset meet. 🌲✨
This is King Alfred’s Tower—a breathtaking 160-foot triangular brick masterpiece built in the 1770s as part of the legendary Stourhead estate. Constructed from over a million bricks, it was designed to celebrate the end of the Seven Years' War and mark the historic spot where King Alfred the Great allegedly rallied his Saxon forces back in 878.
Seeing this colossal, hollow structure pierce the skyline while surrounded by endless forest is an incredible sight. It is a stunning blend of Georgian grandeur and ancient history standing perfectly isolated on the hill.

This is Horton Tower, an incredible 140-foot red brick folly built back in 1750 by Humphrey Sturt. Architecturally, it’s wild—a massive six-story hexagonal tower flanked by three lower towers. It was originally built as an observatory, and local legend says he wanted it high enough to watch the local hunt from his own estate.
Seeing this colossal, empty structure standing perfectly isolated in a rolling green field is an unbelievable sight, especially when the light hits that weathered brick.
