Daneway Banks NR Glos

Daneway Banks NR was awash with common blues when a small copper appeared. I followed it, hoping for a shot when it flew past these mating Brown Argus. Brown Argus are even smaller than the blues and are easily overlooked. So finding a mating pair was a real treat.

Noticed there was a rainbow, so I waited for a bird with good positioning to fly past or perch in a tree. Luckily, this Jackdaw appeared! I also like the moody sky.

Dinorwig Slate Mine, LLanberis.

Had been on a short break in my campervan and after leaving Anglesey, headed for Llanberis and the Dinorwig Slate mine.. spent a couple of days exploring the area, and on the last night, I glanced up at the night sky and could see the Milky Way. Grabbed my camera and tripod and took a bunch of shots in both portrait and landscape.
This is a blended shot of one for the foreground and fifteen stacked for the Milky Way.

Three Cliffs Bay, the Gower, Wales

I had been travelling along this coastal area of Wales in my campervan. It was a late October afternoon, a blustery, sunny day , the kind of day that creates those amazing cloud formations..
