Meet Thatcher the handsome beagle cross who arrived at the center as his owners were struggling to meet his needs.

Thatcher is a friendly dog who loves a snuggle, as well as being out on walks exploring or playing. He can be strong on the lead so will need a secure garden to run around in and help with ongoing lead work training. He plays nicely with his toys and will play "swapsies" with them and he also knows a few basic commands.

Thatcher has lived with young children in the home and although he got on well, he was a little too lively for them at times. However, he could live with dog-savvy older children 10+ depending on meets at the center.

He has previously lived with multiple other dogs in the household and also got on with them, and could live with dogs in the home again, though would prefer not to share his home with other animals. He can be quite vocal while mixing with other dogs here at the center, so he would be best suited to a home with other similar breeds or dogs that are used to boisterous vocal dog friends.

Thatcher does struggle with being left so will need a multi-person household with new owners who are around to slowly work on his separation anxiety, at a pace he is comfortable with. We are unsure how long thatcher will ever be able to be left, so will need committed new owners who can put in the time and work to ensure a successful relationship.

He tries his best to be clean in the kennel and will toilet while out, though may need a house training refresher in the home as he previously had the occasional accident.

Introducing Tom the spaniel cross who arrived at the center along with Jerry.

Tom is now looking for a home without Jerry as they did struggle to share their space here at the center, and are getting on much better since being separated.

Although Tom would prefer not to share his home with another dog, he has made a few other walking friends at the center and could have calm walking buddies once settled in a home.

He will require regular grooming to keep his beautiful coat looking its best and is okay with having a brush. He will need some more gentle introductions to grooming to ensure he continues to have a nice positive association.

Tom could live with older children 12+ depending on introductions done at the center.

He also has the potential to live with dog-savvy cats, though needs gentle positive introductions to ensure both sides have a good relationship, as he can be a little worried.

We are unsure exactly how old Tom is though our vets have aged him around 5 years old. Although otherwise healthy he does have a very slight heart murmur which our vets are not worried about and doesn't affect him, it will just need monitoring at present.

Tom will need his family to be around most of the day and to build up time left alone once settled, he would be best suited to a multi-person household as he is showing signs of separation anxiety and does get attached to people quite quickly. He is very affectionate and loves snuggling up on a lap for cuddles.

He can be worried by road noise so an area away from busy roads would be best, and needs further training and general confidence building. He walks well on a lead and is polite when greeting dogs and people out and about. Tom is not currently interested in toys and playing, though this may change once he settles into a home.

Meet Simone – A Sweet Soul in Need of a Loving Home

Simone is a beautiful 10-year-old cat who found herself in our care through no fault of her own. Her whole world has changed drastically, and now she’s searching for a new home where she can once again enjoy the comforts she misses so much.

Adjusting to cattery life has been challenging for Simone, but little by little, she is beginning to trust us. She would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home where she can feel safe and secure. Having always lived with a single owner and never experienced life with other pets, she is looking for a home where she can be the only pet, receiving all the love and attention she deserves.

Simone has lived exclusively indoors due to a busy road near her previous home. However, we believe she would benefit from having access to a secure garden where she can explore at her own pace. This would also encourage a more active lifestyle, helping her shed some extra weight—she is currently a bit overweight.

Her adopters will need to support her on a proper diet to help her reach a healthier weight and prevent any potential issues related to obesity. Aside from this, Simone is a healthy 10-year-old girl simply looking for a second chance at love and companionship.

Meet Sky! This beautiful and affectionate 9-year-old girl is looking for a loving home where she can finally feel safe and settled.

She came into our care after struggling to adjust to a new home with a dog. Now, she’s hoping to find a peaceful environment where she can truly thrive.

Sky would do best in a quiet home with no other pets, as she values her space and security. She has always enjoyed outdoor access, so a home away from busy roads is essential to keep her safe. She can live with sensible children aged 12 and older.

Though she’s still adjusting to life in the cattery, once she gets to know you, her sweet and affectionate personality shines through. She loves cuddles and will happily soak up all the love you have to offer!

Sky recently had a dental procedure that resulted in two extractions. She is healing very well and is finally eating comfortably without any discomfort.

Nova is a stunning 3-year-old cat with gorgeous medium-long fur. She came to us through no fault of her own and is now looking for a loving forever home where she can feel safe, secure, and truly loved.

She is initially shy and can be a little unsure about handling and brushing, but she enjoys fuss—on her own terms.

Nova needs a patient adopter who will give her the time and space to build trust at her own pace. Once she feels secure, she will reward you with her unique personality and companionship.

Having lived indoors due to her previous home being near busy roads, Nova is now looking for a home in a safer location where she can have access to the outdoors. Exploring outside, even just a secure garden, is essential for her well-being—it provides mental stimulation, allows her to express natural behaviors, and helps prevent stress and boredom. She should have the freedom to decide how much or little she wants to explore.

Nova will thrive in a calm, adult-only home as she can become easily overstimulated. She would do best as the only pet, where she can have her own space and feel truly secure. Experienced adopters who can read cat body language and respect her boundaries will be ideal for helping her settle into her new home.Nova

Meet Shiro! This stunning cat came to us as a stray with her three tiny kittens. She lovingly cared for them until they were fully grown and ready to find their new homes. Now, it’s Shiro’s turn to find her own loving family and forever home.

Shiro was spayed a month ago, and she has fully recovered and is ready to leave the cattery. Initially timid, Shiro has blossomed over time, revealing her affectionate and cuddly nature. She’s a little foodie and has plenty of energy to keep you entertained! However, she is struggling to adjust to life in the cattery now that her kittens have moved on. We believe she would thrive in a calm and relaxed home environment where she can settle comfortably.

Since Shiro came to us as a stray, we don’t have much information about her past. However, we do know she would do best in a home without other pets or young children (under 12 years old). She’ll also need a home away from busy roads, as she enjoys exploring the outdoors.

Potential adopters should note that Shiro’s light-colored fur and skin make her particularly sensitive to the sun. Prolonged sun exposure can lead to serious issues, including skin cancer. To keep her safe, it’s important to limit her time in direct sunlight during peak hours and consider using pet-safe sunscreen on exposed areas if she spends time outdoors.
