Saturday, 8th April I was fortunate enough to be invited along to a photo shoot with the stunning Kate Rose dressed as an 18th century dairy maid. Thanks must also go to Angela Rendell for the help and advice received during the shoot.

Saturday, 2nd July saw me visiting the Dean Forest Railway for the second day of their Flour Mill Gala with no less than four steam locomotives hauling a mix of passenger and freight trains along the beautiful four and a half mile long line between Lydney and Parkend. With beautiful weather, superb locos and friendly volunteers the day was superb!

Please note that many lineside locations are not publically accessible, I am a regular DFR volunteer and as such hold valid PTS for the lineside, remember don't trespass.

Sunday evening, 5th June 2016 saw me partake in my first ever photo charter event hosted by 30742 Charters with visiting BR(M) Ivatt 2mt 46521 on a short BR goods rake. The evening was blessed with superb weather and was a great success, here is a selection of my favourite shots from the evening.

Please note nearly all of these shots were taken from the lineside and as such are not publically accessible.

Over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway once again held it's Cotswold Festival of Steam, this year with no less than 8 locomotives in steam including three visitors and two that have just returned to traffic. The weekend was blessed with superb weather all three days and great performances by volunteers and locomotives alike making this once again a highlight gala of the year.

When not working at the railway I like to get out and about with the camera, Saturday, 21st May 2016 was the first time this year and was the first day of the Dean Forest Railway's Mixed Traction weekend. This is a selection of the best photos taken during the event before the rain became too persistent.

Please note some of these were taken from on the lineside with appropriate lineside PPE and PTS and with permission of the railway; remember, don't trespass for your own safety.
