A curved dam wall disappearing into the fog early one morning, creating something that I find strangely interesting and atmospheric.

Waiting for my daughter a few weeks ago I snapped this tiny snail on some grass. I love the spiral and translucency of the shell. If you look carefully you'll see the snail inside too.

I don't often get a chance to go out with my camera on my own these days, instead taking photos of my family. However, I got out nice and early one Saturday a few weeks ago and ended up taking a few macro shots of dew drops on spider webs amongst other things.

This is one of my favourites from the many photos taken of my daughter on our local lockdown walks.

As for many other families, the various lockdowns over the last year have meant a really tough and stressful struggle to balance the kid's education with work commitments.

However, while the entire family undoubtedly now relishes the prospect of the imminent return to school, part of me is really going to miss the opportunity that we've had to spend more time together than we ordinarily would have.

So, following on from my last post...
Last August I discovered that my image can be found on the front cover of a Liane Moriarty novel, of all things 😯😯😯😯
How on earth, for almost two years, was I so oblivious to my image appearing on the front of a book written by one of the world's favourite contemporary novelists? 🤦🏼‍♂️
Since then I've also discovered that will be releasing a TV adaptation of this novel sometime this year. A quick look online suggests truly inspired casting for each of the characters, including , , among other fantastic choices that suit each character perfectly.
