Last ever event last night . It was great to be able to cover Doncaster Young Farmer's Ball last night . Seeing so many new members & families I've done work for over the years . All the best to everyone .

So ultimatley thats it . I've a couple of events to cover & a wedding in Sep 26 , but think my photography career is more or less behind me . I've loved it ..doing what you enjoy for over 40years and managing to cram in a short police & then longer Military Police career as well. My customers ..many of who I consider personal friends I thank you all. Its been fantastic photographing royalty , newborns , families , pets , parties , products .. the list goes on. The studio is closed & slowly getting cleared . I'll try and help with old sessions for the advertised £43( 43 years ago I shot my first wedding in Dortmund Nicki & Stuart ) . Any questions please use messenger or email [email protected] & I'll reply . Insta & whats app may get lost . I wish everyone well in their life's journey as I start a new career with northern rail. I might see you on the trains. I'm certainly not retiring for a few years . I've lived by the mantra "If you cant do what you like then like what you do ." Its worked feel free to use it !

Update on This morning's announcement.....
No I've not bought a yacht.
43 Years ago I photographed my first ever wedding ...already a hobby this set me on a career path firstly in the army (Royal Military Police ) ,then to RAF Church Fenton and Cranwell as civilian photographer. All the time having my business running alongside . About 35 years ago I opened a studio in Selby full time . Portraits , Weddings , Commercial & events. I averaged 50 weddings a year on film and hundreds of portraits plus proms and events and much more. About 14 years ago I moved my studio to its current location on Carlisle st , Goole. I've always valued my clients above all and many have been friends for many years . I'm grateful to all for paying me to work on my passionate vocation . In February next year I'll be 66 years young. I'm not ready for retirement, but feel there is another chapter to write.. much of it with my new beautiful wife Angie , my daughters, their partners & their daughters . Currently weekends are usually worked.
An opportunity has arisen to join Northern Rail. Having passed their interview procedure & medical I'm keen to join them in mid October.
Over the next few weeks I'll be winding down the studio . There is an opportunity for someone to come in and purchase the studio with or without my name on a new lease from my wonderful landlords . Anyone that has been knows how perfectly laid out it is , equipment , props ,advice, contacts and training will be given. Failing that contents will be sold , display pictures offered at ridiculous prices and much more .
For those that have read so far thank you . I am very well to those that displayed concern.I'm still in the area and will hopefully remain on your friends lists . I wish everyone else well & I'm not gone yet so if you need that family photo we are still open.....for now .
