The last remaining cygnet is pushing its luck by staying at the lake.
Mum is nesting, dad is super protective and is forever chasing and telling this one it’s time to leave.

It won’t be long before the 2025 cygnets leave their parents for good.
This is the first time in years I will be able to say we have had successful cygnets at Carlton Towers lake and it’s been an absolutely honour to share their space and watch them grow and see them on their flying lesson.

Even though I have been up at the lake, I’ve not been taking as many photos as I normally do. However, it was so beautiful up there today and it was a rare occasion that both cygnets and parents were all together I couldn’t resist taking a video
