Life goes on and priorities change. My dreams of riding the alps will have to remain just that. It’s time to sell my 2016 FJR 1300 AE.
The good stuff: With just 18200 miles on the clock, on-the-fly electronically adjustable suspension, 3 Keys (including the red master key), Yamaha touring screen (with MRA Vario deflector) frame sliders, foot guards, panniers (with inner bags) and 50 litre top box with matched keys. The body work and paint is in excellent condition.
To make this the perfect touring machine, it’s fitted with Michelin Road 6 GT tyres, blind spot mirrors, the seat has been modified with a gel insert (additional standard seat included in case you don’t like it), the handlebars have been raised by 1” (can be restored) and there is also a Comfort Air seat, a Garmin Zumo XT sat nav (with lockable mount), wiring for a heated jacket, CTEK and Optimate Chargers.
It’s also fitted with a front and rear dashcam.
I’m also including a full waterproof cover, a spare touring screen and an Oxford alarm lock and HD chain for security.
The not so good stuff: I don’t have a documented service history, but Tinklers Motorcycles, the Yamaha dealer in Norwich has all the records and it was last serviced at 9900 miles, when I bought it. The next MoT is due in July although I doubt they’ll be any issues. There is a scratch on one of the panniers where I grazed a wall while parking the bike although it will probably buff out with some T-Cut and the paint is starting to flake a little bit on the shaft drive casing (see the pictures). One of the plastic windshield ‘finishers’ has a snapped tab and needs re-fixing.
I am based near Gt. Yarmouth and I’ll answer any questions and welcome viewings. Unfortunately, I can’t allow any test rides without cleared funds.
Because of the mileage, condition and all the extras included I am asking £8100.
