On Monday, I got to photograph a very special wedding. This one felt easy in the best possible way.
Kerry & MC Dick Douglas (aka Richard, aka Dougie) weren’t particularly drawn to lots of formal, staged photographs. They wanted to spend time together, enjoy the day and give everyone space to just be themselves. It was a small intimate wedding and the reception was at the first ever vegan hotel in the UK! Beck Hall in Malham.

This one felt easy in the best possible way!
Kerry & MC Dick Douglas weren’t particularly drawn to lots of formal, staged photographs. They wanted to spend time together, enjoy the day, and give everyone space to just be themselves, so that’s exactly how it unfolded.
After their ceremony at Halifax Register Office, we drove out to Malham and spent the afternoon at Beck Side Hotel. It’s not a traditional wedding venue, which suited the day perfectly. A garden by the stream, sunshine, a lovely vegan afternoon tea, and a group of genuinely joyful, colourful people.
There was a lot of laughter, a bit of wandering, and the kind of atmosphere where nothing needs to be over-directed to feel complete.

In case you don’t know the face behind the camera, this is me! I’m Lindsay and I’m the owner and primary photographer of Elsiebee Photography.
I’m a chatty, happy soul who loves meeting people, loves talking to animals (mainly my cats and chickens but any will do tbh) and can’t resist cheese!

I’ve always felt awkward in front of the camera. I’m not a ‘natural’ and often squirm when I see a camera pointing in my direction. That’s why I love helping other people feel comfortable in front of the camera. It’s my passion! To capture ‘real emotions’ and not just insta worthy photographs.

Omg!! These two have blown my mind. Ellyse and Meg are tying the knot later this year and their wedding sounds amazing! We’re talking alternative, bright, colourful madness with lots of love and personality thrown in for good measure. I can’t bloody wait. Roll on October! Thanks you two for choosing me!!
