Saturday was such a lovely day, and getting a message like this afterwards means more than I can say.

Being there there for my couples isn’t just about taking photographs. It’s about helping them feel relaxed, reassuring them when things get a little hectic, and being that calm little shadow in the background when they need me.

How amazing is this? Richard aka MC Dick Douglas has sent me my own personal rap!
I photographed Kerry and Richard’s wedding for them. It was fabulous and we had such good fun. The sun was shining, everybody was happy and there were lots of smiles. Such a perfect day.

Richard and Kerry tied the knot at Spring Hall Registry Office before heading to beautiful Beck Hall (the first vegan hotel in the country) to celebrate with family and friends. From the very start of the day, there was one thing that never changed….Kerry’s smile!! It was infectious.

For those of you who don’t already know, Richard is also known as MC Dick Douglas!! He’s a bit famous for his rapping and I’ve got something special to share with you later!

Who knew that a little skip could cause so much laughter? 😆

I asked Gemma and her bridesmaids to do a little skip together (You know the one? It’s been doing the rounds on TikTok?!) and honestly…we were all in hysterics.

They loved it so much, we got the got the groom involved too (I’m saving them for later 😂)
I love editing photos like this. Everyone has forgotten that I’m a photographer. I’m just there having fun with the rest of the bridal party. These are usually the photo’s that bring the biggest smiles!!.

One of my favourite things about photographing a wedding isn’t the big moments. It’s the little ones too. The laughter during the speeches, the excitement while getting ready, the moments when the couple forgets I’m there with the camera and they relax and enjoy their day.
Looking back through Edward and Rachel’s sneak peeks has made me smile all over again.

Before I photographed their wedding, Edward told me he didn’t really want his photograph taking. Rachel told me, she was the opposite and loved the attention! In all honesty, they were a perfect couple to work with. I think the smiles say it all.

On Monday, I got to photograph a very special wedding. This one felt easy in the best possible way.
Kerry & MC Dick Douglas (aka Richard, aka Dougie) weren’t particularly drawn to lots of formal, staged photographs. They wanted to spend time together, enjoy the day and give everyone space to just be themselves. It was a small intimate wedding and the reception was at the first ever vegan hotel in the UK! Beck Hall in Malham.
