On Saturday evening, I had the honour of capturing the Ryan McCabe Foundation Ball.

It was incredibly moving to see more than 350 friends and family come together not only to remember Ryan, but to celebrate his life, his legacy and the love that continues to surround his wife Roisin, their children and the entire family.

The work they are doing through the Foundation, and the money they are raising for charities and people who need it most, is truly incredible. Witnessing it all on Saturday made me think about how I could play even a small part in helping them continue that work.

For every new wedding photography booking I receive throughout the remainder of this year, I will donate £50 to the Ryan McCabe Foundation.

I know £50 from one booking may not be life-changing on its own, but I hope that, together, these donations can grow into something meaningful and help support those who need it most.

Thank you to Roisin and the entire family for trusting me to capture such a special evening. It was a genuine honour to be there and witness the love in that room for Ryan and everything his legacy continues to inspire. 🤍

Shannan & Edward on the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond 🤍

A day filled with sunshine, flowing drinks, music, laughter, and two people who could not be more perfectly matched. From the breathtaking setting of Cameron House to Shannan looking incredible in her Ricca Sposa gown and Edward looking sharp in his custom white tux from Forbes Suits, every part of this day felt effortlessly beautiful.

The party started early, with Shades of Sax keeping everyone singing through the drinks reception in the sun, before Euan from Tartan Entertainment raised the energy even higher ahead of the speeches.

Then, after dinner, we slipped away into the soft, glowing evening light for a few calm moments with S&E — the perfect pause in the middle of an unforgettable celebration.

What a day. What a couple. 🤍

An intimate dinner, a surprise appearance from the man himself, Elvis Presley, and then the unmistakable energy of Jordyn Kelly keeping the party going late into the evening. Guests were also treated to the most beautiful personal illustrations by the wonderful What Hannah Does, such a special touch.

An emotional, beautiful day on the west coast of Scotland, full of grace, warmth and the kind of quiet moments that stay with you.

It was such a joy to return to Lochgreen, and an honour to photograph Rebecca & Aidan’s wedding after first meeting them two years ago in Dubai. Some stories feel especially meaningful to document, and this was certainly one of them.

A day I’ll remember with so much fondness.

Hannah & David 🤍

A day filled with emotion, love, and the people who mean the most, all set against the stunning backdrop of Brig O’Doon.
This one was extra special for me. I’ve known Hannah and her family all my life, so being trusted to capture her wedding day as she married the love of her life was such a proud moment. Having now photographed both Hannah’s wedding and her older sister’s too is honestly a career highlight I’ll always be grateful for.

Hannah & David brought together such a wonderful team of suppliers to bring their vision to life, and as always, it was a pleasure working alongside Emma from Ur BTS Bestie.

What a day, what a couple, what a privilege. ✨

A question I get asked far too often — and one that really shouldn’t need answering: do you work with content creators?

Absolutely. Without hesitation. When you find the right one, they are a genuine asset to the media team on a wedding day.

What I won’t champion is the way the word “content” has taken over our industry. We all know visibility matters for our businesses — but a wedding day is not a content opportunity. It’s one of the most important days of someone’s life.

If you’re a supplier showing up with your own content agenda, or believing your behind-the-scenes footage matters more than the couple’s professional photography and film? It’s time for a reset.
The couple comes first. The content follows. Not the other way around.
