I saw the various colours on this tree and noticed how the early low sun was creating a wonderful golden glow to the leaves. I couldn't resist a photo of it! It would be interesting to see how the colours change on this tree as we move further into Autumn. Autumn is a wonderful time to photograph trees as their appearance changes.

Great Amwell nature reserve and the walk along the river Lea from and to Stanstead Abbots this morning, 05 09 2021. This was my first visit and I was impressed with the size of the site. Most of the photos were taken from 3 of the hides that exist for photographers/bird watchers.

A walk along the river Lea finished off a lovely visit to a really nice area.

I made a visit to the Lea Valley Marina, Stansted Abbots, nr St. Margaret's station, Herts on Saturday morning, 28 08 2021. This has been on my places to visit for several months as the eastern end is visible from the A414 travelling westbound along the Stansted Abbots flyover.

I made my first visit to the RSPB Nature Reserve at Rye Meads near Hoddesdon, Herts, England, UK, today, 01 08 2021. They have done a fantastic job in creating a place where you can see so many species of birds as well as butterflies, bees, etc. in a relatively small area. I am looking forward to going again and hopefully getting some photos of the elusive Kingfishers.

A photo I took of the Outdoor Pursuits Centre on the river Stort on the outskirts of Harlow, Essex, England, UK on 2nd May 2021.

This photo was taken with a 28-80mm f3.3-5.6G lens that was designed for film cameras back in the early/mid '90s. I am really impressed how sharp this photo is considering it has no Vibration Reduction mechanism built into the lens and that it is handheld.

Harlow Council have done a fantastic job in creating a wild flower patch alongside First Avenue at St Marys At Latton Church. Being away from the roadside allows this site to be family friendly and this might encourage more insects and butterflies to be photographed here. Looking foward to taking more photos here...
