That's a shame, as I said when I came back to it this is where my commercial journey began, and it was once a thriving community. My long bouts of silence are likely the cause, and so I completely get why this page has dropped into obscurity.
I've taken the decision to log out of Facebook one last time. In the past few years, I've done a lot for my wellbeing; huge detoxes of Social Media being paramount to that. I'm currently exploring new avenues where creativity is promoted and algorithms don't reign supreme. SM is so incredibly toxic these days, it's hard to remember what the point of it really was. I certainly don't feel like it's for recognizing the beauty in the world, that's for sure.
This has been a ride, though! I think this page peaked out at 5,000 likes. I'm building a new community on an app called VERO which is looking incredibly promising. No ads, no AI and no recommended posts. Just you and what you want to engage with. There's been a beautiful lack of political opinions on there too!
My motto for this year has been 'onwards and upwards'. I'm looking to honour that by committing fully to what's new and exciting, rather than clinging to the old and saturated.
So far I've managed to have one of my blog posts published, The Scottish tourist board have taken interest in my work, and I've shot for several local business' near to me. It's all looking bright and promising! I'd like to keep it that way.
