the British Institute of Professional Photographers in Scotland, and Scotland's only Portrait Fellow. The Fellowship is the highest obtainable qualification. John is also a National Qualifications Judge and mentors fellow Photographers to improve the standard of the Photographic industry on behalf of both the Master Photographers Association and the British Institute Of Professional Photographers.

What a wonderful day we had photographing Karen and Scott’s amazing wedding at their beautiful home in Melrose. ❤️

The day began with the ceremony at the lovely Bowden Kirk, where there was a very special surprise waiting for Karen and Scott as they made their way out of the church — the wonderful Melrose Pipe Band were there to greet them! 🎶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 It was such a fantastic and memorable way to start the celebrations.

The whole day was exactly as Karen and Scott wanted it to be — relaxed, fun and filled with laughter. Once everyone arrived back at their home, the party really got started in the garden, with everyone up dancing like nobody was watching to the brilliant ceilidh band! 💃🕺

There were so many fantastic moments throughout the day, and we have captured a huge collection of photographs for Karen and Scott. We honestly can't wait for them to see their images and for us to start putting together their stunning wedding album.

Karen and Scott were such an amazing couple to photograph and made our job so easy. They completely trusted us to do our thing, listened to our suggestions and, most importantly, just relaxed and enjoyed every minute of their day. That always makes such a difference and allows us to capture those genuine moments that tell the story of the day. ❤️

And the wedding wasn't quite finished for us!

The following day, we headed back to their beautiful home to photograph some of their other loves — their horses and their bikes. 🐴🏍️ We captured some wonderful images during the session, and these will be incorporated into their wedding photographs to create a truly personal and unique album that reflects Karen and Scott and the things they love.

There was also a very special little coincidence during the wedding that we just couldn't believe!

John spotted a couple of familiar faces among the guests — Neil and Mala, whose wedding John photographed 31 years ago! 😲 Even more amazing, our groom Scott had also been a guest at their wedding all those years ago.

Now that's what you call a small world! ❤️

Karen and Scott, thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your incredibly special day. We had an absolute ball with you both and your wonderful family and friends.

We wish you both a lifetime of happiness, laughter, adventures and lots more fantastic memories together.

We had the pleasure of shooting Rachael and Richard's wedding at Ednam House in Kelso. The setting was perfect for capturing their special day, and we loved being part of it, creating beautiful photos and memories.

Rachael and Richard looked absolutely stunning. They were a joy to work with, listening to everything we suggested, which helped them relax and truly enjoy the photo experience. Their enthusiasm and cooperation made the day even more enjoyable for us.

We had a wonderful time with our lovely Bride and Groom Mickey and Max who tied the knot last week at the Amazing Dalhousie Castle .
Their familes and friends travelled over from China and various parts of the world. They listened to all our guidance we gave on the day which helped the day run smoothly. Lot's of fun and laughter and also beautiful photos to bring back all the memories.

What a fantastic day from start to finish! We were blessed with gorgeous weather, a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and the pleasure of photographing such a wonderful couple surrounded by family and friends. Paula who is also pregnant also had a gender reveal at the wedding to surprise everyone, it was great fun.
