First post in a while. Found myself in the Lake District through work (hello Barrow-in-Furness) and was tipped off about one of the smaller lakes in the area - Esthwaite Water. So I headed down just after dawn and lucked out with a little bit of sun breaking through the cloud and mist. Lovely part of the world and will need to explore more.

Loch Ard in the Trossachs. Was hoping for a great sunrise but instead I got mist and rain with a wee burst of sun. I had the place to myself until a flock of geese turned up. Noisy buggers!

Loch Chon is a small loch situated between Kinlochard and Inversnaid just up from Loch Ard. I had the place to myself this morning and while the weather didn’t play ball (surprise!) it was still a stunning place to visit.
