📸 A little reminder about photography, copyright & watermarks 📸

I’ve unfortunately had a few occasions recently where my photographs have been used without being purchased or without my permission — including photographs where my watermark has been removed.

Just a friendly reminder that my photographs are my work and are protected by copyright. Taking a screenshot, downloading an image from Facebook, cropping it, editing it or using AI to remove my watermark does not make it free to use.

I’m always happy for people to enjoy, like and share my photographs using the original post with the watermark, but if you would like to have a photograph for your own use, please contact me to purchase the high-resolution image. ❤️

If I spot one of my photographs being used without permission, I will contact the person involved and ask them to either remove the image or purchase the appropriate licence/image.

I’m a small independent photographer and I put a lot of time, money and effort into getting out to events, taking the photographs and editing every image afterwards. Photography is my business, not just a hobby, and every legitimate purchase helps support me and allows me to continue doing what I love. 🏍️📸

I’m always happy to sort things out calmly and respectfully, so please just message me if you’re unsure whether you have permission to use an image.
