Not allowed confetti at your wedding? Bubbles make a great alternative if you're not allowed to throw petals or paper confetti. Some preview pics from a recent wedding at Hampton Court House .events

Photo Tip - Use bubble guns rather than individual old style blow bubbles. This couple had bought 4x cheap bubble guns for the wedding. Worth every penny, as the solo blow one's produce maybe one or two bubbles if you're lucky.

Whoop! The Fearless Photographers Awards are out 🏆 One each for us, which is always nice. Carol's is Hayley & Joe, the cake image, mine is Erin & Kerry, two beautiful brides at sunset.

We love this shot from Ting & David's wedding, on Valentine's day this year. The couple aren't models, they are just like many of our couples, they didn't really enjoy being in front of the camera. But some simple instructions, to walk down the centre of the road and smile created an image that would fit in any wedding magazine spread beautifully. Having spent over 16 years shooting fashion magazines, that skill has never left me! While 95% of our wedding images are totally unposed - we love capturing some stunning portraits when we can too. We only spent around 15 mins capturing a range of poses on a short walk around St Paul's.

Fantastic to be picked as a Judge again for Fearless Awards this round. Fearless Photographers Awards are considered the highest accolade for us wedding photographers. Gaining one is just SO hard. I feel very blessed to now own 16 of them. Carol is on 15 but catching up fast. Being a judge is such a privilege. It's so fascinating to see all of the entries and to be able to use one's own experience when considering which photos you feel are deserving. It gives you a real insight into how other photographers (and clients) must see your own work. When you know nothing about the wedding - all you are judging is "does this image have a wow factor?" which is a combination of composition, light and moment. The elusive three that really make an image stand out. (p.s. no, you don't get to put your own images through - that is all carefully managed so the judges have no input on their own work - or their partners).
