Quite possibly the quickest week of the last few weeks, many miles done on a train, many shoots done, many reels produced and this week we ain’t stopping!

Hay fever has been busting my ass (like every other week) so decided to invest an air purifier…hopefully I should get 4K air quality in my room now.

Fully locked in on edits this week with over 30+ reels to produce and deliver 🤯

Set myself some big goals this week to achieve by August, September and the biggest one to be achieved in January…the runway is far clearer now.

Most fitness coaches will spend months getting their clients in shape for a shoot,

Then hire a wedding photographer because their mate does it cheap.

I’ve seen it too many times…

The lighting’s off

And the poses are awkward.

It’s not their fault - they just don’t know the industry.

They likely train with no real purpose

They’ve never stood in front of a camera at 8% body fat trying to figure out which angle makes the abs pop.

And whilst I’m not sub 10% myself (yet)…

I’ve been nearly 10 years in the gym

And spent 4-5 years working inside the fitness industry

I’d like to say I know what a good physique looks like, how to light it, how to direct it, and how to make sure the person in front of the lens represents their coaches work the best possible way (and their own hard work of following a prep too).

I don’t just care about making your content look good.

I care about making it actually work.

There’s a difference.

Most coaches working with a videographer are wanting more followers or a consistent posting schedule.

Fair enough.

But what changes everything is the stuff no one wants to sit with…

Messaging that’s off.

Content that sounds like everyone else.

No real clarity on who you’re even building for.

That’s the uncomfortable part. That’s also the part that matters.

“I’m such a perfectionist” is just a polished way of saying you’re scared to post.

I’ve heard it from nearly every coach I’ve worked with. And every single time, it means the same thing.

You care deeply about what you do, which is great. But that care has turned into a wall you hide behind instead of a standard you build with.

9 times out of 10 the coach saying this hasn’t posted in weeks.

Their page is either dead or full of generic carousels they clearly didn’t enjoy making.

Perfectionism without output isn’t a standard.

It’s procrastination with better PR.

You didn’t become a coach to become a video editor.

You became one because you’re good at what you do.

So start showing that.

Imperfectly.

Consistently.

Publicly.

First rep at the gym is never pretty. Neither is your first 50 pieces of content.

That’s not a problem, that’s the process.

Another week down and yet another weekend away😅

This one wasn’t even planned…I bought the train tickets a day early and ended up making the most of staying in Bristol.

It’s funny how a year ago I found the idea of going somewhere on my own a bit of a lonely experience…but now I crave being alone with no one around me, being able to do things at my own pace without the pressures or worries of someone else around me.

Although in this instance it would’ve been useful having someone who would’ve had a charge for my phone so I wasn’t having to limit my usage on it 🤣😅

This weekend coming is another weekend away travelling…time to recharge the social battery and get my head down to clear up ready for a clean slate 🤓
