Grassroots football has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember — from playing, to coaching, to running teams, and for almost 10 years now, photographing it. ⚽📸

So I’m really proud to be supporting this year’s Herefordshire FA Grassroots Awards and sponsoring the New Volunteer of the Year Award.

Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to photograph countless County Cup finals, schools finals and grassroots matches across Herefordshire. For me, it’s never just been about taking photos — it’s about capturing moments and memories for players, families, coaches and volunteers that hopefully they can look back on for years to come.

Having been involved in grassroots football in so many different ways, I also know just how much time people give up behind the scenes to make it all happen. Most of it goes unseen, but without those volunteers, there simply wouldn’t be grassroots football.

A massive thank you to Herefordshire FA for the incredibly kind words and for having Will Cheshire Photography involved this year. It genuinely means a lot to have something I’ve spent so much of my life involved with recognised in this way.

And most importantly, good luck to all the nominees. 👏

⚽️IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE FOOTBALL AND PRIZE NEXT SATURDAY ⚽️

We've had several enquiries asking about show start and finish times, with England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 kicking off later in the evening at 10pm.

To make sure everyone can enjoy both, we'll be starting the show promptly at 6pm. We've purposefully put together a 5-match card, meaning the action will be wrapped up by around 8:30pm, giving you plenty of time for the football.

The Richmond Club will also be showing the match afterwards, so why not make a night of it?

Thank you so much for the recognition, it’s genuinely appreciated.

I’m incredibly grateful to be able to give something back to grassroots football across Herefordshire. It’s been a busy few weeks, but seeing the enjoyment, passion and memories created makes every late night and weeks of editing worthwhile.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in local football from the players, coaches, volunteers, referees, parents to supporters who make the game what it is. I’m just happy to play a very small part in capturing moments.

Congratulations to all the teams and players involved this season, and thank you again for this recognition.

We hope many of you know Will and have seen the fantastic photos he has taken not just in May, but for many years now. In May alone, Will has attended County Cup finals, schools finals & both the Herefordshire Junior League & Herefordshire Girls League finals.
