I’m very proud to say that as of today I am officially a member of Pact. (Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television)!

This is part of a major step for my company moving forward, enabling me to form bigger crews and take on bigger projects for major broadcasters and film distributors.

I will be the DP on most of these upcoming documentary projects and I cannot wait to share more about this as time goes on!

Some BTS from Yesterday’s shoot, on a great project in collaboration with the lovely

On this particular project, Alice took on the role of Director, making sure we got everything we needed.

While I took on the role of DP, bringing shots to life with lighting.

We also had some voiceover parts to record so, using my MV7X and H4e we got every part recorded perfect!

Camera wise, I was shooting on the C70, while Alice was shooting on the .unitedkingdom FX3

For lighting we used a mixture of .global lights: RC100b, RC120b l & RC220b

This was a very fun project and I thoroughly enjoyed playing my small part it making it come to life!

LENS TEST

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been putting some old lenses through their paces. One lens I have been really enjoying the image of is the: Asahi Optics, Super Takumar 35mm f3.5

I put this to the test on one of my rare days between shoots and I absolutely love the results. - Admittedly I got very lucky with the weather!

Soon I will have a set of 4 vintage lenses I can call upon when the right job comes along for them! - Documentary and more Creative work may be the best place for them, rather than my usual corporate work.

I’d love to know what you think of these clips, as I would love to use these lenses more if their is need for them!

This is the second year I’ve been part of the media team for the Flawed Hero Marathon.

This year myself and Ben from took on the video side of the event, joined by on the edit, while took on the stills side!

What an absolute pleasure it was to be part of the event, couldn’t have asked for a nicer bunch of people to work with.

Yesterday I shot at the lovely .57 in Kentish Town.

We shot over 70 videos in One Day!

Today is an Admin day for me.

Dealing with clients, invoices, emails, carnets, sorting flights, planning shoots, cleaning equipment and not to mention backing up video projects to make space for upcoming projects!

Admin is the part of freelancing that so many people hate, but it’s so crucial. Without admin days projects stop being planned, equipment isn’t cleaned and most importantly your clients are left out of the loop. - Which is never good!

When it comes to the admin side of things I always set aside a day or two a week to get on top of everything. Making sure my clients know what’s happening with their projects and everything is ready to go!
