Traditionally, guests toss confetti over the couple as they exit the ceremony. It symbolizes celebration, joy, and good wishes for fertility and prosperity. In modern weddings, it’s mostly about that big, joyful, photogenic moment.
If you’re planning to use confetti, it’s worth checking:
• Venue rules (some ban it entirely)
• Indoor vs outdoor suitability
• Cleanup logistics
• Wind conditions (light confetti + strong wind = chaos)

For photos, the best effect usually comes when guests toss it upward, not directly at the couple, and when you have enough confetti per person so it shows up on camera.
