This is our latest ploy to get followers. (sorry for being so shallow).

We are running a caption competition to try and gain a little more support. All you have to do is come up with something funny we can use with our Photo that Kenny Brown got us to pose for (I worry about the boys sanity sometimes but he is a great photographer).

Send them through and the winner will get a professional portrait photo completely free (as long as we can use it in our Made in Oldham Exhibition). Be creative and keep it clean.

Well lets get the ball rolling. Heres my ugly mug. I am sure there is someone better looking and with a more interesting story to tell than mine. Send us your picture and a paragraph about yourself and include your favourite place in Oldham.

Apparently according to Mrs Eccles mine appears to be my bed! (and I won't be putting that photograph on here).

I had this ludicrous idea which made me think about how I could try to get people to think more positively about our town. What if we took portraits of people and there favourite places and added a paragraph about what they do, were they live.

If you took say 500 portraits and found a wall big enough to put them on and get people talking about them, you never know people may get involved in other projects around the town.

So here we go I have set up a page www.facebook.com/MadeInOldham to see what demand there is, once we know there is a demand we will then get out with our portable studio and talented Photographers and take the portraits.
