History & Mystery

History & Mystery We are a husband and wife team "Mr History" & "Mrs Mystery" We share our passion for art and nature through our photos. Visit us on Etsy, Twitter & Instagram.

All photos are taken by us unless shared or otherwise stated. Every History has a little Mystery! We are a husband and wife team who love taking photos. We express our love of nature , wildlife, the outdoors and history through our photography. We refer to ourselves as Mr History & Mrs Mystery but are other wise known as Simon and Lucy. We take our photos and sell them as prints, canvases or cards

via Etsy or privately. This is so we can spend more time together looking at wonderful views and have smiles on our faces more often. We hope that our photos make you smile too! Ideally we would love this to be our full time life. But we need your help to do that! Even a like, comment or share of our page or one of our posts helps to increase our audience. We are on Instagram and Twitter too! So we guess you are wondering where the name came from? Well Mrs Mystery was working for a company in around 2009 and decided if she ever left her office job she would love to set up a shop selling historical and mystical item, books and so on. A full eclectic range covering all the things she enjoys. Mrs Mystery has a love of history, historical novels, and historical sites (as Mr History is well aware having been dragged to various abbeys, castles and museums) But she also loves a good mystery, criminal drama or real life crime programme or book such as NCIS, Homicide Hunter or Bones. On top of all this she does love a myths, legends and mystical things such as witches, fairies and unicorns! So she decided all those years ago that her company would be History & Mystery and in 2015 she registered the company name. So now we use this company for our photography and it fits really well, we love to explore the historical and we are looking more into the mystical side as well! All our photos are available for purchase & if they are not on Etsy please contact us via messenger and we will be happy to give you an idea of what we can supply and for how much. Thank you for your support & remember Every History has a little Mystery!

Sadly we lost Alfie today. Mrs Mystery's Mum's beloved spaniel and companion to both Mr History & Mrs Mystery on our lunchtime walks. He reached the age of 14 years and 9 months and he had been on the farm for 13+ years of his life. We will miss him greatly as will Mac the chocolate lab. We will greatly miss our đź’”

Had a wander out to see comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) tonight, as the sky was fairly clear. Managed to catch it on night mode on my phone. I didn't want to wait another 80000 years until it comes around again!

Loving the bees enjoying the chive flowers in our garden! We are trying to add more pollinator friendly plants in our garden. As well as the chives the bees are also visiting the lovely purple flowers on our sage plants.
