Leicestershire Photographed is a brand new photographic project born on the back of the success of my creative project Hinckley & Burbage Photographed that I began working on back in 2012. I'm a professional photographer and filmmaker that has fallen through the cracks and lost the majority of my work during the Covid crisis but have innovated and discovered a way to thrive off the back of my talent and love for the visual arts. I hope you'll take the time to join me on my quest to document the whole county of Leicestershire for as long as it takes. Welcome to my crazy world and please don't fear because some of my work is a bit weird, strange and off the wall but I also make work that your Granny will love, so it's all good really. I hope you stay with me and watch my journey develop over the coming years.

At Holkham Beach in Norfolk, trying to wrap my head around this vast sandy space. This has got to be the biggest beach in the world! The biggest I’ve ever seen anyway!

We’re in Norfolk for the weekend and exploring many places but this was in Wells Next The Sea, a very quaint little fishing town on the eat coast of England. The sky was littered with clouds, making landscape photography a little bland. So while hunting for a good restaurant that allows dogs in, I became distracted with how the town looked in reflections. It’s the only way I could satisfy my desperate need to leave this beautiful place with photography I’m happy for the world to see

I can't believe it! I was just starting my final year at university ten years ago. I spent the first year of my degree learning filmmaking and the final year I turned back towards photography to see what that level of study could bring out me photographically.

This is where I created the storyline for Sublunary - the metaphorical project about an imaginary alien invasion of the planet Earth.

Here are those photographs, the entire body of work, all 25 other worldly images all created with an exposure time of 15 seconds to coincide with the rotation of the Earth or the sky, whichever one is moving!
They came and were defeated by humanity. I'm excited for project Blue Beam and hope to be outside with my camera and tripod, ready for the big moment! :D

I have to share this amazing review with you. I've had so many reviews over the past 14 years but this one sends tingles down my spine! I feel like I'm the most creative I've ever been and that I can't fail. Work is coming to me as if it's on a conveyor belt.
I'm in a place right now that I've spent all these years to reach and it feels wonderful!

More Photographs from my UK wide project The Quirky English Countryside. I travelled from Norfolk to Wales and from Exeter to Yorkshire, stopping off in the countryside to photographs the strange and quirky things I saw along the way.
In each photograph there's something about it that just caught my eye, whether that was the shape of the land, an unusual sign, something that didn't really belong there or just something quriky and strange.
I made about 700 photographs and have condensed it down to my favourite 100. This small collection is 19-36.
