My early career began in photography while I was studying a HND at Hinckley Art College from 2012 - 2015 and I started by documenting what was available on my doorstep as a way to practice and get better at the art form.
I created these three, which were each exhibited at The Atkins Gallery in several shows.

The Alley Way is on fire 🔥
Where’s this in Hinckley?
The golden hour creates this beautifully strong and warm light coming through the trees, making every subject come alive.

Can you remember 6 years ago when we we're all locked down, hiding from a tiny virus?
I documented that moment in our lives and created a book that was bought by the British Library to keep forever. Local families told their story, how they were passing time during lockdown, what they missed from the old world and what their hopes were for the future.
This will remain in history for eternity and we were part of this, we experienced this with our own breath, our own eyes, hearts and emotions.
It's hard to believe it was 6 years ago!
What a time to be alive!

This work is in the progress of being published in a book that will feature photographs and stories of the people that have taken part in this project as well as some carefully created photographs amidst the lockdown around Hinckley and Burbage, showing empty streets and some of the best window dressings, showing support for our NHS and also to help brighten up the streets.
