2025 in numbers…

🎥 22 of my own weddings filmed + edited
✂️ A whopping 129 wedding films edited for other industry pros
⏱️ Avg film length: 15 mins
⏳ That’s Roughly 4 days of work saved per edit, per client. Imagine getting that time back 🧘‍♂️

I’ve spent so long sitting at my desk this year I’m pretty sure my desk chair knows me better than most people at this point 😂

This year wasn’t just busy, it was transformational. My second business, editing for other videographers, has properly grown into something sustainable. It’s helped other creators hit deadlines, reduce burnout and still deliver incredible work… while also allowing me to build a more balanced, stable business for my own family too ❤️

Honestly… what a year. Grateful, proud, knackered, and buzzing for the next one ❤️ A Massive thank you to my couples and the talented videographers who trusted me with their work this year. Roll on next year 💪🏻

🎥✨ Oh hey! ✨🎥

Just incase you’ve not guessed already I’m the Daniel of the Yates Films. Thought I should raise my head above my computer screen to let you know what to expect if I were to film your special day.

Firstly I’m incredibly informal and unobtrusive. I’ll blend in like one of your guests, albeit one that’s brought one too many cameras to the event. My sole aim is letting you and your guests enjoy every moment whilst sprinkling in an uncomfortable number of dad jokes to keep things light and fun.

I’m not about trends, they come and go – I focus on creating timeless, authentic videos that capture real moments and genuine emotions. Let’s create a wedding film that you and your family will cherish for generations! 💍❤️

2022 what a year! 🎉

Our busiest yet with a total of 53 weddings 😵‍💫 This may seem like a brag but it couldn’t be further from the truth. Whilst I’ve loved being a part of every single story this year, a high volume business has never been my goal.

The knock on effect of covid meant a year of both new and postponed weddings and as a result of this I’ve had to sacrifice family holidays and other important personal events to ensure not a single couple was let down.

However it’s not all bad. 2022 may have been the busiest but it’s also been my most efficient year to date.

I found a level of focus that I usually only dedicate to procrastinating.
With the support of my ‘chief culler’ and ‘Focus Thursday’ teammate
I waltz into 2023 with zero backlog other than my 3 late December weddings all of which will be completed in January.

I also enter 2023 with renewed excitement. A limited number of nicely spaced weddings and a work/life balance I’ve been trying to achieve for the last 14 years.

To all of 2022’s wonderful couples, thank you for trusting me with an honour that I’ll never ever take for granted and to all my 2023 couples…
