One of the things I hear most often at the end of one of my shoots is:

“I can’t believe I actually ended up enjoying that!”

And I love to hear that! 🤩

Because most people arrive at their shoot feeling a little nervous.

They say they feel awkward in front of the camera. Some worry they won’t know what to do with their hands or how to look like themselves rather than a strange ‘business owner’ version of themselves.

Which is exactly why my shoots are designed to feel easy, relaxed and very guided.

You don’t need to know how to pose or perform. You just need to show up, and I’ll guide you through the rest. I promise you’re in safe hands! 🙌

These photos were all taken my mini branding shoot days in a gorgeous hotel in Guildford, Surrey over the last couple of months. But you’ll notice that every gallery ends up feeling very different - because every person is. ✨

What better shoot to share to kick off the weekend than the brilliantly dynamic . 🔥

Liana is one of those people who is so full of energy and ideas that, after spending time with her, you come away feeling like anything is possible. 💪

I’ve known Liana for a number of years and have attended lots of her inspiring events - I was so chuffed when she booked my annual photography package this year. 🤩

It means we get to create 3 completely different shoots together over the year, building a varied bank of images that reflect all the different sides of Liana’s brand and work.

We did the first shoot at my garden studio in Surrey and then the second shoot in two very cool venues in Brighton. 🌊

Liana is known as the Inspirer in Chief 💫 and is a positioning and strategy expert, so it felt especially important that the images captured how it feels to be around her: bold, energetic and full of possibility. 🙌

When Liana arrived to shoot number two in a sequinned robe, purple platforms and holding a disco ball I knew we would create something special! 🪩👠

Are you living life like it’s a dress rehearsal?

Are you putting off showing up in your business?

You say you’ll be more visible when you feel more confident, launch that service, when your website is ready, etc etc? 🤔

It’s not because you don’t have something valuable to share. I know you do.

It’s because you’re worried about what people will think when you do share it. That they’ll find you cringe. 😬 That they’ll think you’ve got ‘too big for your boots’. That you’ll be ‘too much’.

So instead you stay small and wait for a moment that never quite arrives.

These women in the photos all had those exact same thoughts - and they showed up anyway. And look what happened when they did! 🔥⚡️❤️‍🔥

This shoot was pure joy from start to finish. 🤩

When the creators of The Positive Planner, Ali and Finn, booked a shoot with me I knew it would be fun.

They have recently been signed to Penguin Publishing and wanted photos that make people feel energised, connected and inspired when they look at them. ✨

They want the imagery to reflect the kind of energy and encouragement they bring to their work and products - and I think we nailed it! 💫

There was lots of laughter, music, disco balls 🪩, bright colours 🌈, sparkly light and a lot of personality! 🔥�
And Ali and Finn have told me the shoot completely shifted how they show up in their business. 🙌🏼

Having images that truly felt like them gave them a new level of confidence to be visible, share their work and step forward as the faces of their brand. 🙌🏼

And that’s always my goal with my shoots.

Not just beautiful photos, but photos that help you feel excited about showing up in your business. 👏🏼

When you have photos that genuinely reflect who you are, visibility suddenly feels a lot easier.

Here is part two of last year’s garden studio shoots… because there were too many to fit into one post!

One of the things I love most about this space is how adaptable it is.

It’s styled and ready if you’d like to walk in and start shooting straight away. Or we can tweak the shelves, swap artwork, move props and shape it around your brand.

Some people arrive with just their outfits and use what’s here. Some bring books, products and props to style it to suit their brand.

Both work brilliantly. Because the studio is just the backdrop - you and your brand are the focus.

Here are some of last year’s branding shoots in my garden studio in Surrey - I’ve had to split them into two posts because I ran out of space!

Every single person you see here arrived saying some version of:
“I’m awkward.”
“I’m not photogenic.”
“I hate having my photo taken.”

And yet… look at them! 🔥

My garden studio is calm and private. 🍃Just us, your favourite music playing, my camera and space to relax. No audience and no performative energy.

And there’s also a beautiful forest just a few minutes walk away so you get the best of both worlds. 🌲

This quiet time between Christmas & NY feels like the perfect time for a fun quiz that helps you understand your own visibility style 🤩
