Shooting with gels is quite easy to do once you get the 'know how', you have such a big variety of colours and even down to the positioning of the gel light can either make or break your image.

I would much prefer amazing results to make finishing the image easier and effective.

Not only will you be shown how to get the image but you will also learn the photoshop skills to finish the image too so a pen and pad will be needed but notes will be given at the end of the day too.

This workshop is aimed to give you something new to add either to your portfolio of even your clients, join me for the day for this amazing workshop!

Studio lighting takes a bit of time to understand, but once you get the hang of it and understand it you can become very creative.

People put a soft box on because the light is soft, they put a beauty dish on because the light is hard, but are they?

Do you know how a softbox works?
Do you know how to create spot lights?
Do you know why we have different size beauty dishes?

This workshop is put together to show you how modifiers work and how to get the best light from them.

A model will also be present for this workshop so we can put the theory to test.

Weddings are a big part of photography, whether you are looking for a career change or looking to improve your photography skills and working with clients, my workshops are here to help point you in the right direction. A bride and groom will also be present.

After having a full time job and at the time doing between 10-15 weddings a year for around 10 years, I was getting more and more enquiries so I jumped in two feet first not really knowing what to expect and left my job to tackle this ambition, this was a huge learning curve to which I had to gain marketing skills, people skills, how to deal with and gain clients, I also felt on a personal level my photography skills had to improve, even now I like to try new things to give clients something new, as we all know this is the first thing people see with the likes of social media. I now photograph on average 40-50 weddings a year. As this is a skill a lot of photographers would love to learn or gain I’m holding this workshop that will help pass my knowledge to you.

You will also have the opportunity to come along to a real wedding with me afterwards so you are able to see me work through the day.

This workshop is for both experienced photographers and those new to the industry.

During the day we will Wedding album designing. This is a jam packed full of information day.

Each photographer needs to bring along a camera and any equipment you already work with, (if unsure what you have is suitable or not please just ask) if you're a beginner my equipment will also be available to use, everyone will be taking images. You may also wish to take notes on the day.

Throughout the day we also have jugs of water, unlimited tea and coffee and lunch provided too.

The day will be held at the Worsley Marriott, Manchester. (If travelling some distance accommodation is available)
