Yesterday I had the privilege of spending the day with Stephanie and Martin to capture their very special day at The Sandy Cove Hotel, working with Miles Trevelyan who captured their wedding movie.

It was an extra special day for us all as we were the first wedding to be able to explore the new walk through the woods to the Hotels exclusive shoreline. The pathway has been expertly created by Tom Garness and his team over the last 12 months and winds it ways along the cliffs and woodland to the dramatic beach below, a stunning engineering feat.

These pictures are from yesterday’s wedding showing the new pathway and shoreline with Stephanie and Martin with Gismo and Loki.

The weather was just perfect for Mark & Sophie who travelled all the way from Kent for their special day at The Sandy Cove Hotel last week.

They celebrated with their close family and friends, a really small and intimate wedding which gave them plenty of time to relax and spend time chatting and enjoying their day.

It was definitely a party atmosphere with getting the party started followed by evening music with Matt

Yesterday the sun was shining for Matt & Kerry for their small family wedding

As a wedding photographer I always love to take the opportunity when there is time to capture some different photographs, using my drone for different views, sometimes photographing into the sun & sometimes silhouetting couples. These photographs are always in the finished gallery but seldom on Instagram. Likewise it’s always great for some photographs to be a little contemporary.

Matt and Kerry were definitely up for a great day with plenty of laughter and some fun photography together with more traditional shots too.

Here is just a very small selection, editing their whole gallery will take a little while.

June was such a busy
month for meeting so many lovely couples who tied the knot on our wonderful North Devon Coast.

The Sandy Cove Hotel was the perfect setting for Joe & Ellie’s wedding day, although at times the showers came along we were all lucky to have plenty of time to be outdoors.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Robinson and your beautiful children and families for such a wonderful occasion.

…. Such a lovely beginning to this years weddings along the North Devon Coast. the Sandy Cove Hotel never disappoints and this year with fabulous spring sunshine it feels like summer already.

At the end of Easter Steve & Olivia tied the knot with their family and friends at the hotel, their day was fabulous with so many smiles and so much laughter.

It was Amanda’s surprise Birthday Party, great friends of mine so I took along my camera to capture some memories for everyone, and to my surprise the lads from ‘Over The Threshold’ band were there to make the party rock 🎸

They so rocked the evening and it was fab to be there as a party goer and listen to their whole set, I work with them often at weddings but usually leave before they finish their gig so it was great to be there for the whole evening.

Such an amazing band for weddings, parties and events ! 🎶

what a fabulous way to finish my autumn weddings with Stacey & Purdy at The Country Ways Wedding Venue near High Bickington in the heart of Devon.

The weather was perfect and Stacey such an inspiration, she looked stunning in her wedding gown, with her bridesmaids in autumn colours.

We were able to have an outside wedding taking advantage of the beautiful country views and the new purpose built wedding venue was perfect for their wedding breakfast and evening function. This addition really makes Country Ways an all weather wedding venue.

Happy Birthday Oakley, one year old today 🎂 🎈! Where did that year go?

Oakley brought his mum and dad to Arlington Court for some autumn 🍂 birthday pictures. Even though it was getting so dark in the late afternoon and it was just a little bit drizzly… and Oakley was desperately trying to go to sleep, we captured some lovely pictures to keep 😁

Craig and Natalie were married at the beautiful Sandy Cove Hotel in 2022, I was privileged to be to capture their special day. Since then we’ve stayed in touch and are now great friends, it’s always great to catch up and take a few pictures for them, especially now with Oakley ❤️

sometimes it lovely to have small and intimate wedding to photograph especially when it’s the son and his fiancee of a friend from early days of photography.

Alex & Ethny tied the knot in Barnstaple and then went to Woolacombe for the fabulous setting of The Watersmeet Hotel at Woolacombe and Coombesgate Beach on a sunny autumn day.

how lucky were we all to (mostly) dodge the rain and showers for Ben & Amy’s wedding, my last August wedding for this year.

It was such a lovely day, full of love, looks, fun and lots of laughter.

Amy and her bridesmaids were beautifully made up by Rachel and their bouquets and floral arrangements by Hannah .co.uk .

It was great to meet and work alongside Miles who captured film footage for Ben & Amy and also Tim with his amazing Sax 🎷 and huge energy!

The evening party rocked with Matt as always 🎶

July turned out to be my busiest wedding photography month, with so many amazing couples entrusting me to capture the story of their very special day. Now it’s time to step back just a little and catch up with my editing, but still excited to capture more weddings later this month and through the autumn, and 2025!

Alice and Corey’s wedding at the fabulous Sandy Cove Hotel at Berrynarbor was at the end of the month. It was great to meet them both again with their family and friends on a sunny day and capture moments to last a lifetime, hopefully we’ll meet again for some wedding dress beach sunset photographs later in the year. Here is a little taster of their day whilst I’m finishing their wedding gallery.
